This video explains how to repair a broken cooling fan on the older Harbor Freight Model 95964 Chipper/Shredder. Parts for this unit are no longer available. A replacement fan from the newer Predator engine can be modified to work.
Just had one of these given to me by my inlaws. Carb and throttle lever (and everything in between) rusted as shit. Replaced the carb and still can't get it started. Not sure where to look next. Wish me luck!
@@ItsVideos Yes! It was the fuel line filter inside the tank where the hose connects. Was clogged up and not dispensing gas properly. Basically just poked a hole in it to get it to work. Then after I get everything reassembled, I realized my new carb kit came with a replacement fuel filter! haha.
nice job I have a problem where when I start my chipper it runs for about 10-15 seconds and dies, Iv cleaned and check the carb bowl and spark plug but nothing so I started looking closer and saw a break in the rubber/plastic "gasket" between the carb and the air cleaner and there was a break at one point however it was still attached. I'll try to glue it together however if that doesn't work do you think a new predator engine would fit on the chipper?
I have the same model and my fuel hoses all rotted. There are several and I can't find anything that tells me how to hook up all of these hoses. I have looked at your video to try to see how they are hooked up. Can you possibly enlighten me on how they hook up? Thanks.
Contact that CSE parts link I posted before. If anyone can get you the correct tank, that guy can. He actually found me an original replacement fan. He was really a nice guy to work with.
