Great review. I have the same saw purchased 5 years ago along with the portable stand. It has been used to re-floor 3 houses with laminate wood flooring as well as many other smaller projects. I have used several of the name brand saws and for the money I have no complaints. It has been a great saw.
Knowing you've used it for 5 years and many projects makes me feel better about my purchase. For many years I've wanted to have one of these, and my husband and son convinced me to get this one on a sale yesterday. I figured I'd get started with this as entry level and buy a bigger one later, but if it's going to last me multiple years, then YAY!
I'm not a woodworking professional by any stretch if the imagination, but for the projects I do around the home like pool deck, BBQ grill protective box, various trimwork...this saw does exactly what I need and more. One of the best investment I've made to keep everything going around the house. ps. Been using mine for a few years with absolutely no problems at all.
I've been eyeing this for a while now. I'm one not to buy anything for myself unless I can justify the price/use I'll get out of it. Great video. Looks like all the angles are true on it.
I echo your thoughts. I generally refuse to spend on myself either. For home crafts / hobby use, or just home improvement / repair I think is a solid piece. I haven't used it enough to look into how someone doing professional woodworking would like it.
Thank you so much for this review and showing some basics. I've not owned a mitre saw before and bought this saw yesterday on their Spring Black Friday sale. I think I'm going to like and use this more than my circular saw.
@@marcmenton8063 That's a steal! i used to love when they would email you 25 to 30% discount on all their products now they only do products of up to like 25 dollars lol. some stuff from there is worth buying though!
