Definitely a great jack. For those wondering about the weight, this comes in right at about 105lbs so it has a bit of weight to it which is a good thing because it's made of heat treated steel. They retail for 199.99 but you can sometimes find a specific coupon for them. The general use 20% coupon will not work on Daytona jacks fyi.
You look like a kid at Christmas time, and I feel like a jealous friend who wants it, LOL! That picked up the whole side of the car! I have the low profile, but not the Daytona, and I LOVE IT!
@@NoneMechanic101 Yeah Hector, those harbor freight low profile jacks are great, and well worth the money, but I'm going to have to start working out more like you because i have to keep picking this jack up to put it back in the truck, GO HULK!!!
I have found, in time the handle will start to bind up when you want to turn the handle to lock or release the pressure. So I add a dab of grease on the handel where it will start dragging and bind up.
I didn't read all your other comments so I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet. You do not need to remove the handle to use the foot pump. I have an orange one and I love it too.
Great video...! Man, I love your enthusiasm. Just bought myself a Daytona 3 ton Heavy Duty Jack Low Profile at Harbor Freight...can't wait to get it out of the box tomorrow morning...!
I've had this Jack for about a year now. I use it regularly. Like 6 times a week. It can lift some heavy trucks! I love it. Its starting to squeak now as I pull it. The wheels. I'm thinking of replacing my Jack once a year but I don't know how long this thing will last me.
If the wheels are squeaky, you can remove them and put some grease on the axle, or just spray them with some lubricant if you can get it into the crevices. If you take care of it, it should last 20 plus years. I've had a Harbor Freight ("Central Hydraulics") floor jack for 18 years and it's never given me any issues.
@@inmyexpression19 Good luck but yeah, if you take care of it, it should last you 20 plus years. There are some good videos on here if you want to skim a few about lubricating / maintaining them. In 18 years I've still never had to add or replace any jack oil (hydraulic oil). Most of the issues you mention (squeaks) can be solved by some spray lubricant or grease (although to get the front wheels off you likely need to remove the clip that likely holds the front wheels on).
I’m a 150lb female mechanic and I struggled a lot more than that getting mine out the box. I love it though, I’ll get strong picking up out of my trailer on the job.
Awhile back before Daytona, I bought the Pittsburgh 2 ton low profile long reach floor jack. It takes a little bit of work to jack up my 2008 g35 sedan. I wish the Daytona 3 ton model was available then.
Just picked it up today. It was on sale for $209. Wish I would have bought it a year or two ago but I didn’t have the money at the time. Cli can’t wait it use it on my truck and SUV. My next purchase are the 6 ton Daytona Jack stands and then I will be in a good position to work on the cars.
I got the pittsburgh 3 ton low profile floor jack 10yrs still going. But i am looking for another one 2 or 3 ton standard floor jack. since my ram sits pretty high i have been looking at the Aluminum ones but im not sure if i want to lift my truck or the mrs suv with it lol
I am very confused, why there are some that say super duty, heavy duty, high performance or they don’t say anything, they all are 3 ton are they all the same? Can someone explain?
Nice jack and a good review. I had a question regarding raising the vehicle with the foot pump only, can it be done, or does it only get the saddle to the jack point?
@@NoneMechanic101 Thanks appreciate the response. I occasionally work in a tight garage and that would've been helpful, if it will just get the saddle to the jack point, won't help much.
Really good video bro, watched a lot of reviews and you’re the only one that showed it close to maximum. Just picked one of these up today. How has yours held up since you got it ?
Great jack i have 4 of them ! But you should try having the jack set angle 📐 not straight… if your planning to remove right wheel 🛞 have the jack front facing left wheel 🛞
Def gonna cop this, what kind of Jack stands do you use? Been going back and forth on a few but don’t wanna budge yet. Kinda hard finding some good reliable ones
I picked one up yesterday during there 4 day sales event which ends today. With the Inside track membership I paid 159.00 for that same blue one. I also have the aluminum 3 ton HF floor jack for 4 years now and so far I’m very pleased.
I just bought a Daytona 3 ton today (8/27/2020) on sale, not the long reach, but a rapid pump. And it is very good. Got it for $114. Also bought the Chicago Electric corded Impact Wrench at the same time. My wife used it and loves it. We had to replace our brakes before a trip (wow, almost let them go too far!) I have been lazy over the years and letting my car get serviced by others a bit too much. So with this new jack and impact wrench, that will get me to want to work on my own a lot more unless its just something beyond my abilities. I also have this 4 ton bottle jack from HF I had for several years that is very good. OH! And mine is also blue to match my new U.S. General 5 Drawer rolling tool box!
If you were trying to say where is the jack manufactured. China like all the harbor freight junk. Not all from harbor freight is junk. Its hit or miss with them. I have a bunch of harbor freight stuff that is good and I've had alot fail too. Im getting this jack tomorrow so we will see.
wepa!! bleed the jack, I have the 2.5 ton low profile I bought in '13, and the 3 ton low profile 2 yrs ago. I bled them both. Buy the Hydraulic jack fluid for $7. I just order that same blue Daytona for $169, coupon of course
@@NoneMechanic101 I jacked up my gfs big 2013 chevy silverado 2500hd ltz truck with it. Got to finally look at her breaks. So I bought her breaks today to lift it up some more lol
The 20% doesn't work for Daytona jacks and a number of other higher end products at HF. You can download their coupon app off the Google play store and find a specific coupon for them.
I just got the red Pittsburg lowprofile jack couple of days ago found out i need hydraulic fluid so i think ima go back and buy this blue jack i have a coupon for 120 and the red jack is 110 so you know lol
@@NoneMechanic101 No the warranty sucks on this one it's only 90 days they have one that is 3 years but it doesn't go quite as high and it's not Long reach that is why I am apprehensive to buy this Jack because of having only 90 day warranty
@@NoneMechanic101 hey where can I find that coupon with the typo to get the jack at a low price. Somewhere here in the comments you talked about it. Hook a brother up. Thanks in advance
I can't believe they're using plastic wtf? The little plate thing on 1 I bought like 10 years ago was straight steel and so is the one I bought 2-3 years ago..
