#harborfreight #icontools #ratchet #toolreviews #shorts Quick Review on icon Ratchets from Harbor Freight, the soft grip is pretty cheap looking and feeling but the ratchet works well.
I love the telescoping 3/8 / 1/4 ratchet Pittsburg makes. I’ve used it professionally for years and have had to warranty it twice for getting stuck in the collapsed position and breaking off the 1/4 drive from abusing it. But for the price it’s worth its weight in gold.
@@user-bn3gy5wl2r those are super handy ratchets to have. I have a Stanley version I use to work on my own stuff. I’ve definitely have put some cheater pipes on it. It’s a 3/8 but I’ve been lucky and I also don’t use it everyday like you do. I appreciate the comment. Thanks for sharing your opinion and experience and thanks for watching!
Lol that gold ratchet is always sold out at my local Harbor Freight. People must really want a gold tool. It looks awesome though. I’ve heard of a lot of mechanics that but them just to use them as a display in their garage/shop office
It’s an interesting piece that’s for sure. I mean icon tools have been around for like 3-4 years they should have made it like a tenth anniversary edition or something cause they ain’t out doing a gold ratchet 😂. Thanks for watching Tanner 👍
@@themaintenanceman1 yea I agree with you on the anniversary edition thing. That would’ve been a good idea. I’ve heard Icon tools are very close to any of the top name tools you can get off a tool truck these days. They’re made in Taiwan just like most of the expensive tools (Snap On, Matco, Cornwell)
@@tannerwest6823 I would say that the ratchet head definitely is in line with like gearwrench if I had to compare it. Husky is pretty close to gearwrench also BUT the Icon comfort grip to me is trash. It’s low end feeling and just not that great or substantial.
