This is a review of the dual 3 LB Harbor Freight Rock Tumbler sold under the Chicago Electric brand. This is a general overview of my feelings on the unit and not a review of the full process used to polish rocks. That will be added in a separate video.

I'm in Utah myself... Got a harbor freight tumbler just like that one for Christmas... It's been running non stop since.... I've only ever had the problem you're having... That's it... This thing allows me to polish a lot of my rocks without losing a lot of the texture on the rock itself... I'm not looking to turn them into polished river rock, completely rounded out and smooth... I've been nothing but impressed with the results of my rocks, and the machine....

I have been very happy with it as well. Its been trouble free once I figured out the balance issues. I haven't even broken a belt yet.

I'd cut some disks from some old butter bowl lids and make them same size as cylinders to be placed in all 3 friction points. Cleaning off the butter is optional, but it's gonna move better either way ! 😆

Great video! Thanks for sharing your opinion of this tumbler. I had gotten one a few months back and am getting ready to try it out. Where do you find your felt pads? I've tried to locate them online, but am not having any luck finding them... Thanks!
