I'm looking to get this welder for light lawnmower deck repair. From what I see this should be more than enough for what I need. Thanks for a great video. You have a new sub.
Nice review, short and sweet, glad your enjoying the welder thus far, I am buying one tom for my home, I have a Hobart handler 140 at work that I use daily for fabrication work and it works like a dream, if this welder has the same performance ill be a very happy guy.
If memory serves me, you aren't suppose to use teflon tape on brass fittings when welding. The brass fittings are self sealing when tightened correctly.
LOL would the included wire be good enough at least for practice? Nice review, BTW. Helps me in selecting a good welder for occasional use for home repairs/home projects (keg stuff)
Will this feed down to 80ipm? Ive got a titanium 170 and it works well above 125ipm but below that, it starts the arc, stops feeding, but continues to arc between the tip and work.
Does your wire feed come out slow and then all the sudden speed up to where it's supposed to be? Why does this every time I pull the trigger it comes out slow then speeds up.
I had this problem initially. What size wire and which roller are you using? The .030/035 roller has two sides. A "smooth" and a "ribbed" size. Try the smooth one set to the right tension.
@@crystalnjohn06 it is exactly that and most people are thankful for this feature as I hear it really helps once you get use to it tho it would be nice to be able to turn this feature on and off. I use a Hobart handler 140 and wish it had this feature as the start of my welds are always the sketchiest.
I've had the same machine now for about two months, and I have to say I love this welder. My friend he has a Hobart 140 and he's had it for two years and he said he likes the titanium better for welding but the Hobart for the simplicity of the machine. (We are both new to the inductance feature)
It’s an excellent welder for sure 👍 I do feel the inductance helps a lot. I just leave mine on high to get a nice crisp arc. For the price you can’t go wrong. Unless you’re welding super thick steel this is perfect.
@@Mr123Idontcare I found the inductance option really helpful when doing uphill and overhead I normally turn it down to the lowest on those two and I get really good results
its just as good if not better from the reviews I read, one guy compared it directly to his Lincoln 140 and said the titanium was better even though it cost less. I run a Hobart handler 140 at work and I'm excited to buy this welder for my home as I hear it welds just like the Hobart handler if not better and I LOVE the Hobart handler 140 I think its a FANTASTIC welder so if this welder is anything like it then I think ill be stoked.
@@Mr123Idontcare I actually heard the wire they give you with this machine is very good, did you even try it or did you just assume it was bad? What gauge was it? It is prolly .025 and that could be why cuz these inverter welders run best off .030
Blue Demon wire all the way. It’s not to expensive and the quality of your welds will look great. Just get whatever wire size you need and make sure is gas less or flux core according to your need.
.030 is recommended for almost any 110amp 140 inverter style mig welder... I get my mig wire from Napa and its amazing stuff. Been buying it there for YEARS with zero issue.
From experience... its better to throw away bad materials than learn to cope with them... you waste effort you could be using to make really good work with good materials.
@@Wingnut353 from my experience it's better to learn to cope now with bad material so that when ever you have good material and sonething happens then you know how to fix it.
