Hi Matt, from a user experience perspective of watching your videos, I would avoid having a completely opaque icon on the video. I understand why you'd want an icon, but even semi-transparent would be better.

I have a version of this i used to keep my midi lathe on, works well for me for the price, 40$ at a yardsale
