This is one of the two commentary tracks recorded for Hard Eight (originally titled Sydney), the first feature film of Paul Thomas Anderson. This commentary track was recorded after he had finished Boogie Nights, in Westlake Studios in Los Angeles in 1998, together with actor Philip Baker Hall.
