Swaddling babies is a very common practice (even in the U.S. and Canada). It’s no different than using a modern swaddle blanket/wrap and wrapping it tightly. Although it may seem tight, babies like it because it replicates the womb and the feeling of being held. The blanket is thick, it’s mostly keeping the blanket in place, she’s not being wrapped directly on her body (plus it gets very cold in the mountains). Also this baby sleeps throughout 20+ minute videos and only cries when she’s hungry and the mom feeds her and she falls right back asleep. Babies are very honest 😅 if she was uncomfortable she would cry non-stop.

@arezooor2477 Non sono vecchi, se hai notato, sono 4 figli e tutti con una minima differenza tra di loro. La vita in quei luoghi è dura, apparentemente sembrano più vecchi tutti, anche il figlio maschio più grande sembra più grande della sua reale età anagrafica.
