For the ones were this doesn't work try it again but this time connect your laptop to your phone with a cable. I had the same issue but now I fixed it.

Plugging into the computer was the trick. Phone wouldn't boot into recovery until I plugged in to the PC.

Nope - doesnt turn off after the second Samsung Galaxy appears and let go - just stays on. with or without sim card.

tldr; power + vol down + 30 sec = turn off power + vol up + 30 sec = turn on (factory options) choose wipe data I have an A32 and the various loading screens were all different but the process was the same

It didn't work for me either. Here's what I did: Make sure the USB cable is newly connected before you do this (disconnect and reconnect). Press and hold volume up + volume down + power buttons all at the same time. Here's the trick: Just when the screen turns black (before Samsung appears, just when it turns off), you took your finger from power button, but keep pressing volume up and down buttons. A blue screen should appear where it says 'Custom OS' etc. You press volume up and it will say 'Downloading.' Then you press volume up + down + power button again and a black screen with charging will appear. After this, you press volume up + power and then reboot options will appear.

Disclaimer: I use a Samsung a32 5g Im holding it down and it won’t restart/power off I haven’t been on this phone for years and it fell in water. We forgot the password and watched this video to reset it so I can use it again. I completely followed this tutorial and the Samsung did flash and it never powered off. I held it for a good 5 minutes. please help.

It didn't work for me in this way but I have done it other way. First I have entered phone in download mode then forced turn off by pressing vol down + power, as soon as phone turned off, I left both keys and it started charging. Rest is in video.

Doesn't work. Google recognizes that the phone was reset and bans the phone from being used unless you can enter the original information. Huge waste of time.
