Stunning Beaches. Wide and full of golden sand. Cristal clear water and nice size waves. Truly a vacation paradise, The Hard Rock Hotel is located at the Bavaro Beach "Arena Gorda" right now it's the last Hotel and there is only natural Beach further on. But next door is the construction side of the new Moon Palace.
There is no Water sports at the Beach and divers have to go to a different resort. Year around you have a lot of waves .
Macao Beach is "just behind" the cliff up the beach to the north.
Here you can still meet locals and visit with your rented car or by taxi ( local transportation if you like) You find restaurant, Bars, souvenir shops and beach sellers. The beautiful beach has a dangerous rip current. Watch the water before you go inside.The current can just wash you out into the ocean.
The safer side would be where the local fisher boats are. It's at the far end towards the cliff. The ocean is calmer here.
