@@Foxhole_official I have no idea what You just said, but I got my hands on your tracks from mix 1. Did most of transitions like you did via mid, high then bass swap. Once i did the x0,5l oop with a spin! Keep up good work m8!
@@Szajbulec hahahahaha no worries, phrasing is where the songs adds or removes sounds or changes the sounds up. So when you have nice phrasing the energy of song 1 is coming down and the energy of song 2 is coming up so the energy keeps going!
Love the praise and feedback in the comments. I've also just begun my journey and it makes me love this community so much more how people show up to help each other level up!
Got some of my Fav bangers in there! Especially express yourself, sadly I never heard any dj use that track live bc it makes me wanna dance more than any other track
suupp. Just an update, sometime ago we wrote under comments. I've let myself download the exact same tracks as in this video and my dj friend did few "bass faces" during me playing with some kurwas of apporval. Thanks a lot man! I've learned more than from just your POV than tutorials. Now i need to learn how to find my own tracks.. Cheers!
Dude you're an absolute beast, mixing without cue points and so well for 6 months of djing. How many times a week do you practice and how long? I love the creativity of your transitions in and out, bringing tracks back in after you remove them too, really well done man. Got a lot of ideas from watching you mix
I love the way you avoid to play to much breaks. I started mixing last december and I love hard techno. My mixing is now quite ok I think, I know the structures of my tracks really well, but I've issues not to mix the basic transition-buildup-break-drop-transition-etc. Sounds ok but I find it quite predictable and linear as hard techno tracks are close in terms of tones, sounds, etc. Will cram it!
Truthfully mixing isn’t that great. No progression between songs and almost as if you’re just shuffling a playlist. Use high pass filter instead of low pass, learn to phrase match and don’t take out the 1st song and soon as you bring the bass in from the second song, sure do that sometimes, but vary it. It sounds much better if you let the songs play along side eachother and break them down using EQs. No hate just feedback, keep it up 👍🏽
ty for the feedback, i relistend it. but you think i should play tracks together all the time or mostly? because when i do thst i find thst 1 song sounds really empty
@@Foxhole_official the whole point of mixing is: play track one. towards the end of track one bring track two in. start switching highs and mids so that track two is fading in and track one is fading out, then if you've phrase matched correctly youll find a good place where theres a breakdown on both tracks and theyll double drop, this is where i swap bases most of the time, once you swap bases track 2 is the dominant track and its just a case of gradually fading track 1 out.
Absolutely agree, that’s how it should be done @Paulilenthee. You can also apply the same theory to bring 3/4 tracks at the same time. Mixing is all about EQ’s. Keep always in mind that techno (obviously also hardtechno) tracks are also done to be listened by thereselves. However, and the key of mixing is finding the right amount to sounds to complete that track, at the same time, you remove those you don’t want anymore and adding new ones. Many times the main drop a banger track sounds better if you leave it alone, than if you try mixing 2 tracks. Keep working dude, glad for having a new hardtechno dj in the community. I read it below, but give it a try mixing in key. ⚔️⚔️🖤
yes i would or the ddjflx4 but never tested it. I wouldnt recommend another one better unless youre on a budget. i had a numark pro 2 before this one but it missed some features. ddj400 10/10!
you can set a 1/2/4/8/16/32/64/128 bar loop and u can press and change in between. You can also hold the start loop button in the upper left and it will automatically make a 4 bar loop!
@@nathanseville7791 I watched a lot of club ready dj, crossfader, and random videos about the theory of djing. If you understant why and how everything works you can find you own fancy/original tricks
@Foxhole_official thankyou for the help are you on soundcloud by any chance?? And also how did you get your video like this showing record box while you play
yes but when i just play it works better, because when i played the tracks before in a order it feels like im doing it wrong when there is no ocrrect way
@@greenSmile45 idk exactly but i try to start a new track when i feel like there a change wich is often 4 bars after the drop or 16 bars into the chorus but not interly sure if I'm explaining it correctly. I'm not that good at writing logical sentces. not English neither in my own language. BUT THANK YOU for the nice comment makes my day! and I meant I do but I listen to them and decide if they would sound good together not that the bass feels to diffrent the boink instead of the boom bass but that's it. but that's mostly with my other sets!
I think I understood what you mean. I ask so many questions because I also start to mixing and youre Set and mixing is so nice to watch and I can learn a lot. One last Question the key is really important for you for mixing the tracks?
@@swastikattray8433 i would recomend the ddj400, its better in everything and only 100 euros more. or the flx4 thats the replacement for the ddj400 both are almost the same!
@@swastikattray8433 There both the same size only diffrence is that the flx4 has smart effects so it makes transitions easier. But other controllers dont have it so dont get to use to them!
dont have time tonight but if youre looking for a specific song, if you look the white turning wheel in rekordbox woth the bpm there is the name. you probelly know it already but ill do it asap!
@@Foxhole_official ofcourse, it could use improvement in a few spots, but it's definitely good enough for people to listen to, and you could always do the same set twice, it would sound even better, I would personally like this on soundcloud, so why wouldn't other people
@@Foxhole_official I'll put the exact timestamps and info in here later okay, share your SoundCloud if you have it, I would love to save some more sets in my playlist
13:00 would fade the low end of the track above, and start directly with the kick of the second player thats just a quick look, but there aren't really any problems, only thing is that if the kick of one song is kinda distorted, or heavy, and the other one isn't the transition is weird, so thats something i always look out for, but there are some true masterpieces or like master mixes in there, i like it
to be honest its something you grow to like, at first I dident really like techno but the more you listen to it the more you start to like it. my second set is little diffrent maybe you like that more this one is pretty full.
not bad. Learn to improvise your transition please. Sounds not clean and is in a way always the same. Kinda feels like a presentation of songs and not like a mix. A mix should sound like one song. Hope it helped :) x LiNK
@@Foxhole_official didn’t listen to the whole mix and you are the professor of your own mix. Just keep learning, you’ll learn more of that than from others ;) . X LiNK
