Sarge is perhaps one of the most interesting characters I've ever seen. A seemingly gruff and harsh military man at first, we see later he does care about his men. He was sad when Donut was shot ("Just saying that makes me miss Donut") and while he claims to hate Grif utterly, he also hasn't actually tried to kill him - even when the opportunity presented itself. In n+1 (Season 8 Finale) when Grif jumps onto the Meta's back, Sarge holds off on firing his shotgun until Grif is thrown off, and he trusted Grif to understand what he meant and push the Warthog off the cliff while he hooked it to the Meta. I think he actually does respect, if not like Grif. It looks like he thinks Grif is wasting his potential: "Not living up to his potential! That means Grif's a computer too!" "...Except you! You haven't had a high note in years! *Grumbling* And why break the goddamn streak..." It seems to me that he's always angry at Grif because he takes Grif's laziness as a sign of his failure as a leader. He's rallied his men to fight when all hope seemed lost - when he'd lost his very reason for being in the military, he decided to go after Church and Tex anyway, because he knew it was the right thing to do. And when they decided to go after Church and Carolina (seriously, what is it with Church running of on suicide missions with women he was close to?) Sarge was the most vocally in support of it, and he understood the value of having comrades you can count on, and showed respect for the rest of the Reds and Blues, calling them his fellow soldiers. He's still an asshole, but there's more to him than just an idiot that loves to shoot things. I think that's honestly what annoyed me most about season 15 - it makes sense to me that Sarge would join Temple and co. looking for an enemy to fight. But the way he apologised about it just didn't reflect him in my eyes. They could've made it a great moment of character development, but instead used it for more comedy (albeit they did do so quite well). I just wish he'd gotten some of the development we've been seeing in Tucker, Wash, and Carolina. Though I suppose, as Grif says it, those are just Blue team problems.

Kinda interesting that Sarge knows almost everything about the people he interacts with down to the smallest thing, including sleeping positions. It seems that Sarge is probably one of the most caring people in the show but doesn't know how to properly show it because of he has spent his entire life as a grunt in a never ending war. Idk, I kinda found this Episode to be really interesting just because we got to see more of Sarge. I always love Red focused episodes, they are the best team.

What. The hell. just happened. Caboose's turn punched me in the brain so many times I don't even know what to think anymore. At first, I thought I was witnessing A surprising, yet touching, moment of heart In a PSA as I witnessed Sarge slowly fall apart at the seams. But then caboose shouted "We did it!" and I realized that he actually did that on purpose. I still can't fully comprehend what just happened.

Wait a minute, caboose doesn't have a belly button? And more importantly, how does sarge know this?

Yes Wash is in this I don't care if it's canon or not I'm just happy for Wash.

Seriously the entire series is littered with subtleties that insinuate that Caboose can have his own story arc that would explain why he is the way he is. Sarge: "I know why you don't have a belly button!" This is a story arc worth exploring guys.

I just love how only one who say hi to a Caboose was Carolina.
