A few things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I quit wearing ponytails because it causes tension breakage. (2) I began massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while leaning forward & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to protect my hair from pollution. (4) Using gentle shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.
I am using reactivate hair serum plus cocconnioon oil and shampoo from a long time, and today I can say it is working. No hair fall and improved hair growth.
I bought a water filter for my showerhead and WHAT! My hair did a complete 180 degrees with the first wash. My water had me trying dozens of different products trying to get my hair where it is now, and all along it was the water. I only use three products now and will be replacing the filter every 5-6 months for $50 for each replacement. That's much less than what I spent on multiple products. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE A WATER FILTER FOR YOUR SHOWERSHEAD. That should be the number one staple on your list, not just for your hair but your skin also. Cyntia Angelie that’s because it’s a filter, which doesn’t soften water. It only takes out the minerals and chlorine. Waterstick is best option for a water softener that attaches to shower. I know it’s an investment but best 230 bucks I’ve spent, my skin was itching to no end
I am at 1:09 and let me just say, girl, I freakin' hear you! Not one person said anything about the water. Even after I got here and noticed my routine wasn't working, everybody just stayed silent...ya'll, we got to start taking better care of each other. I now tell everyone.
I love your energy and humor! I only recently made the connection to the water being the reason why my hair has been looking thin and feeling terrible and just giving me such a hard time for over a year, and now I'm on the path to recovery!
After 8 months living in Houston, someone finally told me why I’ve lost 5 inches of hair and why my hair is dry, brittle, and frizzy all the time! Hence my journey down this rabbit hole. I miss my NYC hair!!!
I hope you find a solution. Something like 85% of the U.S. has hard water so you would think most products would be formulated to work with hard water but everything from dish and laundry soap and of course hair care products are made with the assumption everyone has soft! Makes no sense! Whole house systems are $$$$ and many live in apts so why aren't there more options for portable SOFTENERS? (Another thing is the confusion between SOFTENERS and filters) I finally ponied up the cash for a softening shower head a few weeks ago (ouch) and it's such a difference. Products that never worked before work great now, my hair is easier to detangle and softer.
@@JessicaEve Not sponsored, I have the Waterstick "Showerstick" softener. it uses regular table salt to remove calcium and other minerals from hard water. it screws onto your shower pipe just like any shower handle replacement and you have to re-charge it with more salt every once in a while when the things inside of it need it. It comes with a little bottle and solution to test water softness so you can see if you need to recharge it yet or not.
@@JessicaEve No prob. The softener is pricey but worth it to me. For full disclosure I also used the Malibu C hard water kit (shampoo, conditioner, and the little gel crystals) to remove the deposits on my hair and was finally able to get a relaxer to take again this week. If someone can't get the softener they can at least try the Malibu C to make products work better.
Just so you know, hard water is fine to drink. The water is usually hard because of the minerals magnesium and calcium. The body needs those, so it might be even healthier to drink. It's just not great for hair.

Jessica Eve filter is working and so does ACV rinses but even though my texture at the crown is coming back unfortunately my hair is still falling out 😞 which is causing me stress which is causes more to fall out BUT im trying to work on that and use products with biotin. But the shower filter is working so now its a waiting experiment game on my hair! Ive been natural 14 years so this is blowing mines at the moment it’s frustrating af
@april I recently got a waterstick too and it's made a huge difference in my hair. Also not a salesperson and I wish they were cheaper. Haven't had to do the regeneration process yet but I'm glad it just uses regular salt and doesn't seem too difficult. Are you still liking yours?

I'm in Southern California and we have a softwater tank on the house and a softwater filter on the shower 🚿 and the water is still no soft enough for me. My hair continues to matt and dread every week.

What moisturizer do you guys use for your hair. I live in Arizona now and I’m scared to use grease like I normally use because it seems as if so hot it just fries my scalp. So where do you guys use
@@JessicaEve girl on me!!! I’ve been using a leave in conditioner from shea moisture the Jamaican one and it works great. I would have to use it every other day I suppose or plait my hair but it’s good.
Yes better stock up on lime away for the bathroom. Oh for your skin try some bentonite clay. It works well. ( Budget friendly). I hope it works for you.
@@JessicaEve you want to make sure to dilute that apple cider significantly before putting on your hair. You can also use a hard water packet that is $3 by Malibu or their hard water shampoo or the $3 swimmer's shampoo sample size that lasts forever. All are clarifying though so be careful. I use that one.

I was the same way when I moved from Mississippi to Nevada. I was horrified and confused the first few wash days cause my shedding tripled. Every time I visit my parents its like suddenly heaven restores my butter detangling sessions and my severe shedding is cured. Its been 3 years now and I shampoo in 4 braids, stretched styles, and God help me if I wear my hair down....I bought the shower filter (not helping) and I bought the shampoo. But its like shampooing in hard water with hard water shampoo removal ?????? Washing with water bottles is time consuming and you'll go through a whole case from trying to rinse shampoo out. I don't have a bathtub in my place....
The filter doesn't work because they don't soften water. You need a water softener for that. Look up the Waterstick. It's an actual water softener you can connect to your shower head.

Thanks for the funny and informative video! Just for future reference ACV is a natural detangler for natural hair. So it might save you a step to just to detangle after applying the ACV...from one ex-New Yorker, now dealing with hard water, to another 😅😅😅🥲🥲🥲
