Mayur Sir, It would be beneficial if you could start an English channel also, if you have time. Please start. Because you have covered alot of topics that we face as an Indian Aquarium Hobbyist. Most of the English channels are base on Abroad, their topics are relevant to issues they face there.
Yes Joel you are right, that is the reason all my videos have English Subtitles, My wish is to make more videos in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali etc so more of out local hobbyist can get good info
Mayur Ji I'm planning to purchase flowerhorn for my home but the water TDS is 153 and as per Zeeshan Sheikh I have to maintain it around 70 TDS using RO water. But as you know RO water don't have any minerals, and when asked Zeeshan Bhai he told me that using 2 pinches of Multani Mitti will solve the issue. Please elaborate, waiting for your rivert.
Hello sir i am Anvay , i am 16. I have been in this hobby for more than 2.5 years and i live in navi mumbai and i have soft water. I am a breeder and i have planted aquarium with Electric Blue rams with angles and some schooling fishes like tertas. and no aggression from ram against angle and no territorial behavior. I have learned so much from u sir and u have inspired me so much. Thanku so much
I am from Coimbatore.Ours is a new fish tank with artificial flowers and about 10 medium sized fishes of the golden fish variety. We use bore water. Can we use RO water got from bore water?
@@MayurDevAquascaper Thanks Mayur sir , I had rotala, crypts wenditi, vallisnerai, anubias , some ferns, long glass types ... Then i stared using my filter water which is a RO filter . Never tested but went with the same plants it was more healthy and colour full. What are ut thoughts does a RO UV filter makes water soft? I emailed some pics of the system as well.
I was waiting for subtitles..... huh, ok 👍 didn’t need them, ff to telling the difference - you can figure it out - actually far better than all the English speaking ones I’ve watched today! Great job 👏
I live in Pune outskirts. Water is super hard about 900PPM. I knew it when I started this hobby that it wont work. Installing RO is costly only for aquarium. So I bought a tank about 2 feet it requires about 40 liter water. Bottled water cost about 50 rupee for 20 liter but there is a trick. Bottled water hardness is very low in single digit. So I mix bottled water with my tap water to get about 150 PPM water. It cost about Rupee 50 per week so it’s not that costly. Also recently few home RO plants started in my area they are very cheap. They charge Rs.10 for 20 liter RO water.
Abhishek your judgement and planning is very systematic and good, as long as our system works, you should be fine, just test the water you are buying once to be sure
@@MayurDevAquascaper what’s the max tds I can have to keep discus, as even if I mix half RO water then also it seems I can manage close to 450 TDS? Is it ok to keep discus in close to 450 TDS?
Hello sir , I live in pune and i have hard water will raining season winter and soft water in spring and summer . Your video titles are interesting.. I was hoping to learn more in your videos. But sad part is, there is no sub. Maybe you should at least add label to your videos, if there are no subs as Indian. I always stumble upon your vids whenever I search for something.

Brother , If we add Hard water then that effects the whole aquarium glass making it white salty like thing …so can we add Dechlorinator to the tank and will it get rid of nitrates and ammonia too?
I'm from Mauritius. It's hard or soft water from the tap varies throughout the year (mostly hard water). But there sure it lots of rainfall to cater for frequent soft water supplies.
I am from Faridabad, thw water is around 1300PPM, Ph is around 8. So i am using RO water , around 100 PpM and pH around 9.5 as RO IS ALKALINE.. inam using Two gold fishes.. it almost 2 years now .. ❤

Hello sir, I watched your videos, liked it very much. I will be building an aquarium of my own. I have municiple water coming with TDS around 70 to 100. Have RO plant which reduces it to around 50 to 70. I also have a borewell. Please guide me if i can use this water or required to increase TDS with borewell water which is having TDS of approx. 700.
Sir i use NA water and then use Aqua conditioner soft water to make it soft. In long run i will consider cat ion filter. Till then aqua conditioner soft water ..
Hello Sir, I live in Dubai and i'm planning to create a basic aquarium and later go for a planted one. But I've decided one thing. I wont start buying things unless i finish watching all your videos and get enough knowledge. :) thank you for all your pro tips and guidance.
Can we use water from our water purifier (standard aquaguard purifier) for planted tanks? Will it be hard or soft water? Will it be chlorine free and have the requisite mineral?
Dear Jimmy, I have not used it, yet I come to understand that the products do give good results, Now when you use a different brand of soil and different fertilisers there is an issue of algae and you need to get the balance of dosing correct
I used aquatic remedies Fertz when I started this hobby and as per my experience there is no real fertilizer in that bottle(some cowdung water). Pls go for proven products. It's left to you to go for which best brands, but for now ADA Fertz r best in the market in terms of results.
Hi Mayur, I live in Bangalore, we use borewell water. I have kept planted tank for last 1 year using brightyk potassium and iron, ur very much right I was able to grow java ferns, anubias, crypt wendeti, but couldn't grow stem plants like rotala, Ludwigia or Altenthera rienikki. Recently at still water Aquatics I spoke with Stephen and bought brighty mineral as well. Some TC pots of stem plants, challenging task :) I've added seachem phosphate as well now. But I've been thinking when the basics (water) is from borewell then it wont really matter if i supplement ADA ferts, even soil from power sand to 9 ltr to powder sand all from ADA to buffer the chemicals. Totally fed up with this, im thinking of using my house RO filter water, it's a 7 stage filter which reduces hardness to 50ppm, but I'm in a dilemma as RO water is zero in minerals but less in calcium which makes Iron absorption good for rotala and Ludwigia red. Please advise
Thanks for informative video, I live in Noida and water is hard here so i use bottled pack water.. around 6 to 8 bottles required in my 36*18*18 inches aquarium plz suggest if it safe to use water conditioner ? Does it affect loches/plecos and other fishes health ?

Hello I'm from Bangalore, hard water here, pH : 7.8 not much results with plants even after ferts. I want to soften it but can i use drinking water purifier from aquaguard to soften it ? It has the 5 stage water purification sysytem... And to remineralize it a little can i add tap water ? Like 80% purified water and 20% tap water.
Sure you can try, yet softning and purifying are 2 separate processes, you will need an RO System that can soften the water Thank you so Much 😀 for making LIFE AAYUH Fish Food INDIA"S Most LOVED Fish Food !!

Hi Mayur Dev Sir, If I use alum in a large bucket of water overnight, and then use that clean water in the planted tank (after removing the settled sediment/alum in bottom), will it be safe for planted tank? How does alum affect water chemistry? Does it make water soft or hard?
I'm from Hyderabad I have a Flowerhorns at my home i want to reduce hardness tap water is 300-400 tds i want to control 100 it is possible? What was the process?
The hardness is actually fish for a flowerhorn, yet you can use an RO Plant Thank you so Much 😀 for making LIFE AAYUH Fish Food INDIA"S Most LOVED Fish Food !!
Sir I have 1.6×1×1 feet tank and a power filter what fishes should I keep. And I want keep some of varities of fish. If you recommend it should be helpful for me.
Hi Mayur ji.. I'm from Pune and the water I get from PMC is Soft. Actually I have a question. Does boiling water removes permanent hardness (Sodium and magnesium ions) or just temporary hardness (bicarbonate or calcium ions)?
Boiling the water causes the precipitation of solid calcium carbonate or solid magnesium carbonate. This removes the calcium ions or magnesium ions from the water, and so removes the hardness. Therefore, hardness due to hydrogencarbonates is said to be temporary. Generally an increase in water temperature causes an increase in the solubility of most salts. exceptions like CaCO3, CaSO4, MgCO3, Mg(OH)2 all of which become less soluble as the temperature increases
Sir informative video.. i have small doubt. My anubias new leaves are white small, and curling downwards.. i have very softwater. When tested for drinking water purposes, It showed calcium - 4 ppm, mg-9 ppm, total hardness - 45 ppm(kerala, thrissur). Is it because of this anubias new leaves are white, small bending down. U said anubias prefers hard water. Or is it any other deficiency? Other plants are doing well.
I have a feeling the issue is your light and a possible potassium deficiency, but I am more inclined to the light I have made a video on plant didiciency please do check it out
@@MayurDevAquascaper I dont know, it was thriving for months with these light with no problems when i was using a branded fertliser, aquatic remedies.then I decided to try diy ferts and since then anubias were like this. Have to find out somehow. Thanks for ur inputs sir. have to fine tune it maybe.
