I wonder how many of us expected to watch a few moments of this video and end up sitting back and watching the entire video. Impressively hard work, says a retired programmer who just used his fingers to work with on a keyboard. ;)
Stones are the worst thing you can use to make a pond. They trap waste, trash, debris, algae.... they make cleaning a nightmare. Nobody who makes a pond does this, unless you want to be draining it several times a year for cleaning.
Is this a swimming pool or a lake? If it’s a lake, where are the fish, lily pads, lighting and outdoor furnishings? It’s disappointing not to be able to see the “finished” project…😢
This is dangerous. He dug a big hole beside his house and filled it with water.... without waterproofing it. The water is going to soak the house foundation. Good luck.
Agree, this is a pond not a lake, nice size pond. All by hand. Water is from an underground spring? Draining the water from the farm land? Nice wall of stones, not plain cement.
Its a pond ... and is scary about the wall fall by the erosion of the outer side with time Who's know what is in a side road water, swimming there may be a no no (if you mind it) Still, nice work there, now what left is regularly clean it or put some fish to eat the mosquitos larvae
after just a short time of watching this video. i realized something. you are on a riverbed's flood zone. . I can see flooding totally destroying that work
There is a genuine risk of the wall being undermined. This plus the water pouring between the stones when they start filling the pond at 26:16 doesn't look encouraging. That cause a threat to the house nearby.
Really nice. Hard working family too. It’s beautiful but it would be spectacular if they painted a mural of those banana trees that were lost along the wall
It is a very nice job, but not family and friends doing it. The workers are very skilled stone masons with years of experience building the pool area’s. The home owners are very smart to hire such a fine crew
Not entirely sure what I just watched. What I do know is, that most American kids today will go their entire lives and not work as hard as just one of these kids do in a day.
My stepfather did do that! He now has 5 lakes covering over 3 acres! The advantages of living out in the countryside! Me i got a 8ft x 6ft x4ft pond 🤣😂
When we looked for land I purposely looked for a hilly valley area where I could damn deep for a small lake. It’s 25 ft deep tapering to 2-1 off the bank depending. Massive channels and bluegills for days. With maybe 30 or so 3-12pb bass. Any bass under 3lbs is cleaned with the bluegill and catfish.
First of all it is a pond, not a lake, but most important, how do you spell "disaster" in Chinese? It is clear that it was nothing calculated, researched or any forethought put on this. I estimate a 1-2 years life before the water pressure will crack the bottom, and create a sinkhole. Looks great, but the damage will be exceptionally expensive. SMH
