Thanks. There was a single of the original theme released when the show was on, but I couldn't find it. There are a few "full length" versions knocking around, but none of the ones I've found are the actual release, they're either really poor audio or looped versions of the opening theme, or more often - both. If you find a decent version of the proper release, please let me know. It was sung by David Morgan
“Milton C. Hardcastle is a retired judge for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Mark McCormick, an ex-race-car-driver-turned-thief was Hardcastle’s last case. McCormick had been placed in the judge’s custody and together, they’re going after 200 cases that walked out of Hardcastle’s courtroom on technicalities.”
Love it!!! Even got the original chase sound effects in the background. Gets you pumped up when you hear this extended version. Very well put together, very smooth transitions. Best long version on the Net so far!!!!!!!
Got to meet Mr Kelly recently at a convention . He was one of the nicest and most sincere people ! He signed my Coyote model kit which I told him I’ve had since ‘86! He is as genuine as you could hope for . Sounds like gushing but man he just seemed like someone you could buy a drink and talk with for awhile .
That's brilliant, he always did seem like a down to earth kinda guy. So glad you got to meet him and have that moment. Sorry for the very slow reply to your comment.
Helluva a great job, CraigL. I've been looking for a longer version of this for years and this is just the kind of thing I was hoping to find. Thank you.
Action, adrenaline, suspance and emotion are ingredients of that has always been one the TV show of all 80's most followed. Very good: Brian Keith and Daniel Huckelly. 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎞️🎞️🎞️🎞️🎞️🎞️🎞️🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬So great Mike Post for his music theme too. 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎹🎹🎹🎹🎤🎤🎤🎤🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼

Thanks. I got the DVD box set from the USA on region 1, but I have a region free player. Its as good now as it was back then. (I do "drop the hammer" in my car when this comes on - but my Volvo's not as fast as the Coyote) :)
lyric writer Stephen Geyer interviewed in March of 2020 about the song Drive for Hardcastle and mcCormick " Stephen: I don’t have a lot to say about “Drive” other than that I thought the metaphors and images I used in the lyrics, such as “Slow motion man, iron and steel in the palm of your hand…” and “hot wired heart, betting your life on the state of the art…” as well as others, were concise, evocative, poetic, and specific all at once, which is about as good as one can hope for, with the incredibly short amount of time one has (or had) to have their theme song heard" - www.rediscoverthe80s.com/2020/03/interview-with-stephen-geyer-song-writer.html
Apparently it was and you can find a version on here somewhere, but the sound quality is quite poor. If you read the comment from Suckling baby further down, although he/she/it whatever has never replied to my request for a link to it.
@@CraigL1971 I actually have been looking since the show was on and except for an elevator music version on the album of his TV themes never found one. But it is possible it was released overseas
I agree. Iirc there was a 7" release in the US. I wouldn't kill for it, but I'd happily maim someone. (Nothing serious, a hidden scar, or the loss of feeling in a kneecap or elbow)
@@CraigL1971 I'd say surely worth a broken toe or two. But damn, there is not really any info about that to be found. The title just beeing "Drive" really makes it almost unsearchable with modern Internet search engines...
He was. Or at least that is what Wikipedia and several other pages show as singer with David Post and Pete Carpenter as writers. Unfortunately that doesn't really help searching for it. Most search hits lead to Trivia Pages, Videos like this here and at most some compilation CDs on Amazon which don't have the original Version, unfortunately.
