Imagine a totally new raid introduced, only for hardcore and no other way to figure anything out other than doing it in hardcore. Would take years to clear 😂
It wouldn't take years, It would take the top content creators, buying accounts like they always do, to keep their content going. It would be weeks if not one week before it was figured out. Not to mention the non content creators, you know, all the hardcore raiding guilds out there getting together to clear it. All that being said, Blizz, etc, couldn't manage to create a raid as such.
I love how people even entertain the possibility of that not being a grief. No "noobs" make it to 60 and raid MC in Hardcore 😂Noobs hardly make it to 60 in regular classic era (not talking about the clip at the end). But ya that Ice block was a great reaction on the last clip.
you guys will laugh when you realise once that grieffer mage died, he went offline asap, i actually thought he was just lost with the mechanics and couldn't see a triangle, but once he killed himself plus 4 other raider with living bomb, his unitframe show "offline", simply grief then alt+f4
The mage went full panic^^ He was seaching for triangle and couldnt find it. At the end his mind went blank and he moves to the closest sign he could see. Yeah, i would guess it was his first time in MC. 🤣
@@InfestedChristo be fair if they came over from FF (god forbid but for the sake of an example) In FF you have group stacks all the time, if they did come here from there, that's probably what they thought
@@InfestedChris Raidlead should have said move out instead move to the triangle. He was confused + noob, but yeah, he must be an absolute pea brained dude who doesn't deserve to be alive... Check your attitude mate.
@@EriSenshur please stop making excuses for stupid people that should know this info before hand. He had plenty of time with a 3,2,1 countdown and everything. And you are just assuming he is a FF player without actually knowing. You are making up a what if scenario when there doesn't need to be.
I did say it was an example, not everything is black and white, you can tell a man how to change out oil in a car 100 times but if he doesn't learn by seeing then he will fuck up until he muscle memories it. Not everyone is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. I know of some high end raiders who even fuck up simple things on softcore classic and even retail too. Shits universal, fuckups happen, whether you want to be a toxic cunt is up to you though.@@InfestedChris
@@InfestedChristhis. it’s kind of common sense. You don’t even need to have much of a brain to connect the dots that something called “living bomb” and your group telling you to move means make distance
@@IDC45 There is. If you listen to the guy @11:28 he even says "let me put this guy over here", bc in classic you can't put a marker on the ground so he spawned an npc or something to put the green triangle marker on it. We can barely see it on this POV but it's on the far left of the screen @11:34
Doesn't the Onyxia Scale Cloak protect against that shadowflame attack? I know in regular classic wow most guilds don't bother and opt for dps cloaks on this fight. But this is hardcore, I would think you would opt for the cloaks protection, killing the boss a bit faster doesn't save time over leveling up again.
I've always only really played healers and im a clicker, technically. I have all my heals hotkeyed to mouse buttons that cast on the player im hovering over the healthbar with . But if im soloing and have to dps for quests, im a clicker through and through XD
@dannysabbath2562 No its not. It's not possible to have the same reaction time as a clicker. This is an unarguable fact. This mean you're going to be at a disadvantage compared to non clickers. Just because you can be as good as keybinds doesn't mean that you're not handicapping yourself. Try clicking in pvp and come back to tell me you're as good as any competent player. Hint, you aren't. Have your preference, but don't act like clicking is as good cause it's not.
@Dubngrub but I don't enjoy PvP so that is completely irrelevant. For PvE which is what I do, and been playing this way for 14 years. Never had an issue. Though I am a visual person that has loads of memory issues. I
9:10 he pulled with 10% mana and didn't pull the pack back far enough. They may have made it with Bette dispels, but it's your job as a tank to pull optimally and not require your group to be at 110% in order to survive.
That's not true, we're talking about classic here... the classes depend on interaction here, if debuffs aren't removed, then it's not the tank's fault... in Esfand's case everything would have been fine if the rest hadn't slept even if he was low mana. 110% rlly? That's a button for dispell...wtf...that even someone who has just gotten up and wants to make a coffee can do with the push of a button...
@@idr121 whether it's actually 110% or not, with a risky and sub-par pull (specifically of a mob pack that is known to be deadly) he put his group on the backfoot and increased the number of possible errors by a lot. The priest had to heal probably 3 times the amount as before because of the big group plus the patrol, and he also had to dispel rather quickly. By not pulling the group back, he also put the melee in a situation where they had to look out (and know to look out, which isn't a given) for the roaming patrol in the first place. The rest of the group definitely did not play this situation well at all, but as the tank you bear the responsibility for knowing the dungeon, the patrols and enemy abilities, and pulling accordingly. Minimize wipe / add potential as much as possible. CC as much as necessary. You are the planner and have to account for or prevent emergencies. At least that's my view and how I approach my role as a tank
I think when they said "go to triangle" he panicked and saw the star/circle and heard "go to the raid icon" lol... Who knows though, coulda been a grief.
Before the fight they showed the triangle spot, that is what they meant. It's just 100% grief, there is no way to fail that mechanic unless ur griefing. Luckily trolls like you and other clueless players want to give those "benefit of the doubt" and that is what the griefers are going for. Especially when the boss was explained for 3 mins, which wasnt shown on this video.
@@bassisku Every raid I've ever been in when someone explains the mechanics of a boss while we're waiting to kill it many people completely tune out. That's how this reads for me. Dude is not smart and griefed by not paying attention/learning the fights. It doesn't make a difference either way, I'd never let them back in a HC raid.
I swear i don't see the green triangle. And it looked like he was headed to where they told him to go and then they panic yelled for him to get on triangle. If i was him and new to the raid i probably woulda panicked and thought they meant diamond and walked on too.
@@nickotoole621 it's literally right on the left he was running towards it and came back, I think it was behind Xars camera but you can see it at the beginning of the clip. It's just on the other side of the tunnel opening
Every time i see these wipes just think how all their gold, their inventory, their bank, everything is completely wiped and I think about how good it is for the games economy lmao. No better gold sink than a HC raid wipe
@@ilarirantala7402 I respect the callout, but anyone with brains makes a bank alt. It's not even purely to save gold on deaths; I legit don't have room on one character for all the bullshit I've collected on my way to level 60 lol.
HC is the time for boomer strats. I can't believe on geddon people aren't using at least some FR, GFPP's, etc. You easily live with 50-100 FR. edit: also ony cloak and SR for firemaw.
We did exactly that in Classic. It’s painful to watch some of the raid vids of late. We ran two groups on Ashkandi. Playing HC now but prob not going to raid lol. I have little confidence on what I’ve seen lately.
That lock in Esfand's group coulda did more. He had level 50 for 2s aoe stun infernal that aoes fire, and could also pull out a voidwalker to tank some shit. Or felhunter to cleanse frog (hex instant cast from shadowhunter). Have a totem bashing macro on hunter and wand. The priest was too far back cause he had to circle around a corner to cleanse Esfand. I don't even play this game anymore and I know how to not wipe in Zul'Farak still. Swiftness pots are like pennies to make. And stun bombs. -- The amount of new players playing HC is always surprising.
The only time I found a hardcore raid sabotage/intentional wipe funny was when it was tinyviolin and it's because he built up to that over such a long period and added a whole ton of questionable context to it. Now it just seems like people are trying to ride his coat tails and be the next 'troll'.
asano move to the triangle.... he goes to star and wipes the group lmao im dead! note to self, remove the stack point marker after u pull cus of idiots. It was not a grief, he thought the star was a triangle in panic. lmao. hes a noob bro.
In the clip @ 12:00 I believe the guy was just a noob, not a griefer. His movement had hesitations like he really didn't know what to do, I've seen it before. Hell, I've done it myself when a new tier comes out on retail and even though I watch guides for each new boss, there's so much info to absorb that if you get a mechanic on you, you've got to scan your memory afap to figure out how you're supposed to handle it. IDK, I could be wrong, but to me that's what it looks like; just someone who wasn't sure what to do.
This is precisely the spirit of playing 'hardcore' in all games that have it. Most don't have the stomach for it. It still hurts even for hardcore veterans like me. The perk is the gameplay prior to death is much more engaging and rewarding.
You don't lose the character permanently unless you choose too. You just can't play it on the hardcore server if you die. You can still play that character on the normal era servers with everyone else.
This is why I don't play this game mode folks. Outside of dying to bs like a mob spawning right in front of you as you're trying to escape other mobs or dying because you have a healer in your dungeon that has no idea how to play, you've spent upwards of 200 hours on a single character only to have it all taken away by some random idiot whose having a bad day.
The only thing that makes the geddon mage possibly not a grief is he didn't block or GFPP it so he lives. That said, all the mages that ice block and petri the griefers are fucking legends.
Asano didn’t grief. Earlier in that clip you hear the raid leader say for bomb to go to orange but then changed it to green. He was probably confused and didn’t pay attention to the switch
HAAHAHHA , not sure if noob or grief ( looks like grief ).. but the ASANO SUICIDE BOMB, will be remembered. My man lost to his intrusive thoughts, what a little troll >.
Clearly a noob and he panics, didn't look like a grief at all. Last one is a good example of a grief, off tank taunts the boss right before the breath attack.
I actually dont think he griefed. Something about the way he's moving just looks like he was panicking lol. Probably totally clueless and thought moving out would kill everyone or something dumb
That's why I won't play Hardcore. It's the same people griefing again and again and yet Blizzard does fuck all about it. I thought they were supposed to have a no BS policy towards griefing in this game?
On the Esfand clip. Patrols should always be cleared out first. You can see the patrol coming as Esfand pulls that pack. So yeah he did everything right EXCEPT he didn't wait to pull that patro firstl to clear it out. If they had pulled and cleared out that patrol that pack pull would of been okay.
I don't know who's idea it was to tank firemaw there, but that strategy is old and outdated. The better version is to tank him directly under the doorway. Have like 3/4 of the healers on the tank's side and heal him, then have dps on the opposite side. The healers and ranged have virtually no risk of getting hit with the shadow flame.
FPV guy went from 4,232 health to zero in a single frame at max range. He was the first to go down. within 3 seconds, +12 more souls were lost.. F LPT: Pause video, use button for ,< and .> for single frame slideshow / inspection. Back="," or forward= "." one frame at a time, enjoy
Does anyone remember 1 single night in particular during the original WoTLK, when for some reason something in the game broke in regards to ret pallys and their damage would multiply itself and was so high that once it caught on, pallys were heading into ICC and soloing it. It only lasted a couple hours but it did happen, I clearly remember the server going down to fix it. May have only been my server, I'm not sure. It was either Moonrunner or Azuremyst.
@@IAmTehGuy.he dced back in duskwood and when he logged back in, his character was just running in place for everyone else and got killed by stitches. Happens to me constantly, yet I still play hc in my free time, it adds a level of fear when doing stuff in the open world solo lol (as a warrior mainly)
Basically TLDR: dude dced in duskwood but only dced after getting far enough away from his actual body + wows anti-dc thing which is supposed to log u out insta but is buggy af
This is one reason I would never play hardcore. I would only play if the 1-60 leveling journey is hardcore and open world. No instance should be permadeath. what a waste of time.
This is the cost of being on a hardcore server you risk all of your leveling to someone else that may very well not be on your side...ya know its funny as someone that played vanilla i didnt have to see how that dude died on that path I knew who it was lol that undead mofo has killed so many people
yeah i think the same, thought he was new to MC but that offline instantly is just a red alert, if he didn't do that on purpose he would have stay atleast 20sec longer mindblown
What people playing hardcore should do, especially those that are new and those that are just bad at the game, is to make a standard character and learn the game that way. Unless they like to waste their and other's people time
Naw @xaryu , that living bomb was just a player that didnt know what the fuck they were doing. Why people raid HC when they dont know the mechanics is mind blowing
clip on 5 min, it was not the ret fault its the warrior name happyjzz hes literally 2 tank and having a sheild on the entire fight like a bot ofc he did 15 k threat in 1 min, bot tank
Hardcore has its moments. But you got me fucked up if you think I'm grinding back to 60 and gearing up again in situations like this. At that point I'd rather beat my head against a wall. Same applies to HC D4. I know some folks get enjoyment out of it. But couldn't be me.
to be fair triangle was hidden behind the person recordings raid frames ,you can see it slightly for a second when he moves just right ,so assuming the other person is using the same raid frames ,he probably had the same issue and couldnt find triangle ,but regardless you should know to get away from others with that on baron
lol - typical comment from someone who doesn't understand hardcore or pre-Panda WOW: Nerf ret pallies because they do too much threat. If you don't nerf them they will do too much threat and die. The game back in 2005 was about THREAT management, everyone (Locks especially) could do INSANE dps, it was up to the DPS to manage THREAT, not DPS, and that's why HUNTERS were OP.
Ppl clicking health pots n hearthstone should def have them keybind that second could save u...its more important than 90 percent of every other spell u have
Can't wait for asmon to react to esfand/pala tanking xD or did he already? Could be just new to this as well the mage who blew up the raid, to be honest the movement looks more like they were confused.
this is why you dont play hardcore, its to much fun for people to grief and its to easy for them to do it. Months of work down the drain wasted in a single taunt
I see people constantly afraid of “wasting” their health potions and then dying because they took the chance. Like even if there’s a 5% chance that you might need to use a health pot, use the health pot..
Honestly it's crazy. If I'm EVER below 30% health and the mob isn't under 10% health, I'm using a potion without hesitation. classic wow can royally fuck you with the hit / avoidance chances.
zf ? Usually back then rogued stunned one back at original position while mage sheeped another . Tank grab agrow close to wall only rogue get close . And sheep has to be reapplied and stun has to be reapplied to kill the 4 active
BRUH fucking ret pallys.... i was playing in cataclysm, my first character a prot pally tank. i remember at one point i was running a dungeon with a ret pally and that nerd had his threat buff on (IIRC tank classes have specific buffs (or had in cata) that would increase the amount of threat they generate. presumably to allow them to hold threat against people that are out DPSing them. anyway this dude was running around with his toggled on. unsurprisingly...he kept pulling aggro. and then would get mad at me.
