You cannot lose in playlists. You have infinite retries there. Fun fact... In Normal Mode, Barracuda's only truly had attack was super nerfed, and in my opinion is now the easiest normal boss. Looking at hardcore version, you can get some idea why they changed it, but I still don't get it. The lyrics in Clash say "We are more loud", or other combinations of those 4 words. Confirmed by the one who made the song. In Normal, Boss Rush Playlist wasn't that bad honestly. As a Megaman fan, I can say "Yokuman Stage" is actually called "Deathtrap Mirage", I guess the name was changed in jsab to be more recognizable but it always bothered me. Chipzel songs remind you of super hexagon? Well, he DID make the soundtrack for super hexagon so... The final challenge for full main menu is "Get rank S on every track" lol. Normal mode is allowed of course.

what makes hardcore harder is the fact that there are more projectiles, and the projectiles are larger, not that there is less reaction time

I think people were telling about Cool Friends because in Hardcode mode this level is, like, restored old version of Cool Friends from the first version of the game. The most significant differences - faster rotating sawblade sticks
