One of the areas bands frequently disappoint onstage is the vocal harmonies. Either it's one person doing all the vocals on the records (e.g. Boston), or there's otherwise so much overdubbing and/or a general ability to "pull it off" live, you think "Man, those harmonies suck!". That doesn't appear to have been a problem with Quarterflash. I've watched a bunch of videos of them on RU-vid, and on all the vocal harmonies are perfect. Also, and you don't hear it on this song, but it seems Rindy Ross and Jack Charles liked to improvise their solos during at least one song, Find Another Fool, when they did it live.
Talent like this doesn’t exist anymore.. there is no heart & soul put into anything anymore. I miss this kind of stuff so much. This generation is DRY AND DEAD
Hermosa música una obra de arte de aquellos años que se fueron.... pero quedaran por siempre en nuestros corazones por muchos años.... Que recuerdos... Saludos de 👍🇵🇪🇵🇪
wow fabulous performance, for me this is an iconic song, it pulls me straight back to being 15 y/o, and they're still a couple to this day, and she is still so very pretty
Her eyes are hauntingly mesmerizing. Her sax playing sends chills down your spine. Her art reverberates throughout your entire soul, mind, body, spirit.
I was watching Friday's that night too. I was in my teens. I thought they were great I never forgot about them after this live performance. One of my favorite songs from those unforgettable years.
Most underrated band of the 80's. They are just as perfect live as The Cars, and had the hits to prove it. I'm thankful I'm just old enough to have heard them before that era disappeared.
im 36 and i love this stuff . amazing . you know, i lisseneing a lot of dup stup and stuff like this but this is the best of all i miss that typ of musik so much. absolut amazing
What a great band awesome great guitar play great vocals just everything they were awesome I saw him on the beach when I was a teenager South Padre Island Texas
I remember going to my first Elton John concert.....it must have been back in 1982....& Quarterflash opened for him. I remember her & how awesome she was on that sax. I think this was the only song of their's I ever recall hearing on the radio though. Still don't even know her name.
I forget exactly when I first started hearing this song, but i think it was around July of 2014 or so. My grandfather's friend and I would often go up to the drive in movie theaters Saturday nights, mostly because I was still going to school at the time. And when we were going back to my mom's and my mom's now husband's (yes, my parents got divorced) house, we'd often hear this song on the radio, as well as listen to Delilah from 95.5 fm.
I think Martha would get a chuckle knowing that I used to think she was singing " Only the Lonely Get Laid..." 😂 My apologies though because Martha's incredible range and voice is one of the 80s most under rated! She has a haunting sensuality even as she continues to crush it today! ❤ Martha Davis and The Motels
So awesome! Her vocals are just so emotional it truly sends chills down my spine and gives me goosebumps. They weren't just a one hit wonder either, their albums were good all the way through. A lot of break up songs, but all good. Sone guy must have really hurt her feelings.
Someone turned up after soundcheck. Too bad if that lead guitar would have been ‘mixed’ this would have been great. Fridays always had good musical guests and this was one of the best.
I KNOW THE FEELING BUT HONEY PLEASE DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN WITHIN YOURSELF . THAT IS THE LAST THING ANYBODY WOULD WANT TO END UP DOING . THAT ONLY LEADS TO DEPRESSION AND DESPAIR TO LONLINESS . TO HAVE A HARDENED HEART ONLY WILL MAKE YOU MISERABLE . KEEP YOURSELF OPEN TO NEW RELATIONSHIPS . YOU MAY FIND SOMEONE WHO REALLY LOVES YOU . ONE MORE THING I'D LIKE TO MENTION GOD LOVES YOU AND SAYS HAVE A WARM SOFT HEART .
