I love how “I should be harder to kill” feels like a more inspirational statement as a song progresses. You go from seeking them out and them “killing you” to recognizing they shouldn’t have that power over you.

Honestly, as funny as Carter is, I prefer his more serious stuff. Like this song? A post break up song which is angry but not malevolent? Perfect, no notes.

As corny as this might sound, I'm a 60 year old guy that is just learning to cope with my life after the heartbreaking end of a 14 year relationship and I don't think any song has ever spoken to exactly what I was feeling like this one does.
