@anonimorandom this is because platformer levels haven't gotten the chance to increase in difficulty yet like regular levels have. In the future, platformers will likely be significantly harder than they are now.

The hardest Platformer can’t have many checkpoints or maybe none. A checkpoint basically splits the level into different parts which are not as hard as the level would be without the checkpoint. Edit: Maybe if you add backtracking add a mechanic and add randomised puzzle elements, you could use checkpoints as an obstacle or setback and make platformer levels very more like Getting Over It.
Saying a playformer level that doesn't have a time limit is the hardest level is kinda not true. Like anyone can beat it if u give them a few hours. It's just like saying "I beat my first extreme" and then it's "I wanna be the guy" like sure it's hard but by no means is your completion equally impressive as beating an actual extreme demon
i mean sure but you can say that for any gd level. like yea anyone can beat something like bloodbath because you dont have an attempt limit. Though i would agree that platformer extremes are easier and take less time that a regual extreme demon, but I think thats just because platformer is new, in a years time iwbtg will probably be seen as a low end insane demon if not hard demon idk

Like you're not gonna tell me that a top 1 level that 0.0001% of the playerbase can actually beat is easier than something people are gonna call their first extreme. The difference in time spent to beat is just laughable
@@justrob7257 that's not what the list was about. It was showing the hardest levels made in each update. Tidal wave was the hardest level verified in 2.1, and the tower is the hardest so far in 2.2. He's not saying in this list that the tower is harder.

im making smth like ultrakill in gd, theres a hard mode with only one checkpoint per layer (theres 9 layers) and there isnt any fighting or anything like that it’s just parkour that gets harder and harder every layer

what exactly did you count as a demon for this video? Stereo demoness wasn't legitimately verified, Tidal wave wasn't rated at the time, F was neither of those. Technically the hardest levels would be an impossible levels if we counted those.

to the grave was the second ever demon, which means it came out after demon park, which means it is a 1.2 level edit: also icdx was verified by riot in 1.9 edit 2: i also highy doubt that sonic wave was the hardest all the way through 2.0 (yatagarasu is def harder but it was considered easier so idk if that counts, im talking about stuff like artificial ascent which im not sure if it came out in 2.0 or 2.1)
