I enjoy the fact it isn’t a guaranteed ring every time. They are meant to be somewhat realistic and not every team put together wins a ring. I feel if you were to guarantee a ring it would inherently make it unrealistic as it would force you to accelerate and make more unrealistic trades
Only person I watch do rebuilds today because of this sole reason. Whoever still does them is almost unwatchable. What I also like is having in these rebuilds is him involving the league as well realistically. It isn’t just a soul-less rebuild of a poverty team
I like the idea of not always winning a ring, just after a certain amount of years (for non 10/20 year rebuilds) decide to call it and you weren’t able to win a ring, because I agree that it adds more realism

matt, what you should try is select auto draft every time the option shows up before the start of the new year. i think the problem is in the draft share files. after you select it and go to the next year go into the prospect scouting, and select a player to download the share file you want. it’s worked for me every time i’ve done that.
Wizards are a good franchise. They realised that they became stuck in the mud with Beal & Wall. Granted it took a while to turn it around but they've done a respectable job in doing so. My hornets have been rebuilding since they moved the the bobcats name. Lol. Drafting a point will be a game changer. Allowing Poole to move to his natural position SG. If they could also find themselves a quality starting Centre that would be good. Someone like Nick Richards, Steven Adams, Kevin Looney, Jonas Valanviunas or so.
I love the rebuilds where ya pick different prospects or different people in free agency. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Would be boring to see the same stuff and you always winning LOL
Opinion on blake hinson? Was a top 10 3 point % shooter last year in ncaa. He was known for being a deep 3 guy in college. Just wondering how he has looked at the combine
I do enjoy the suspense of your rebuilds Matt not knowing if you can actually turn around every team all the way to a championship. I also feel like you typically do more realism even in the non-realistic rebuilds (except when we get desperate in 2030) For the '25 Draft when the WAS had the 5th pick, I def felt like you should have moved up into the top 3 to get Flagg, Harper or Bailey. They're franchise altering talents and you're so close and the Wizards don't have that franchise cornerstone really yet at that point. what happened to Ace Bailey? No ROY votes and no rookie teams
I think it actually makes it more realistic if you don't always win a chip. Probably way more in line with how most of these teams will actually pan out.
I like when you win it all because I be curious on how you get it done but I also like when you done win cause it makes it suspenseful. I just think you should title them championship or bust rebuild. Or realistic (ex amount of time) rebuild and if you win in that span kudos if not better luck next time. But regardless I’ll enjoy. (Ps. Please do a pistons rebuild. Idk what we’ll do at 5)

Two minutes in and I already see how behind you are on the wizards. Wizards already said they’re re signing Tyus jones. That was their return for the porzingis trade, they won’t just let him walk. Also, Jordan Poole played very well the second half of last season, he’s their of going forward and most are pretty comfortable with that

The thing that makes me watch your every rebuild is the unpredictability. You won’t win ring in all of them at that’s the reality of rebuilding in my opinion ✌🏼 keep the good work going 🤍
In terms of winning every time, it's not a requirement. See Crushables last Magic rebuild. It was tragic and SO entertaining. Spoilers: Was having good regular season record but literally could not make it out of the first round for 3+ seasons.
No shot #1 gets you Lauri. Lauri is happy in UTA especially bc they have the cap to renegotiate & extend him which is huge. Instead of getting 18M in 24-25 and having to wait until 25-26 to extend, he can secure the bag now. Sabonis did this and didn’t take much of a discount, maybe 3-4M year 1 or so then obv that compounds w the 8% raises…but he also has 2.6M in likely incentives I believe so idk. Let’s say Lauri takes a tiny discount and takes 39M Y1 instead of the 42.3M max Y1. He’d get an extra $21M in 24-25, then 4 new years. In total it’d be 5y/$226.2M with $208.2M in new money. UTA is gonna have around $38M+ in cap, so even after giving him 21M they can still use that cap, then have the $8M room exception on top of that. That includes their two 1sts at 10 and 29, they have 32 also…so they’ll be able to spend the 16-18M in cap on one guy if they want (or absorb a guy in a trade) then use the full 8M room exception on one guy too. So we’ll see exactly how that goes, but I can’t fathom him leaving UTA when he’s about to get >$200M in new money this summer. With regards to the best player you could get for 1? It’s a lame answer but it just depends so much. A team would need to LOVE a guy like Sarr or ZR or whatever. They’d also obviously need to have a really good player, prolly not have a really good pick already, and want to rebuild. Mikal Bridges would make sense but BKN doesn’t have their own picks. Maybe Ingram if NOP doesn’t want to pay him and thinks ZR or Sarr or maybe even Clingan are the perfect fit w Zion? It’d prolly help if they could save a lot of $ and ATL can’t help them with that, so I’m gonna more speak in generalities bc it could be P2-4 if their guy is on the board still, or it could be a 3 team trade. So maybe BI if NOP thought the top pick was perfect and they could save like 30M+ by moving BI on an expiring. They have plenty of wings/Fs to replace BI too. Maybe Mitchell in a 3 team trade if he asks out since he’d be on an expiring? But that’d have to be something really specific. I think it’s more the BI/Mikal caliber of player, Siakam would’ve made sense if he was still on TOR and they really liked someone at the top of the draft…maybe a Siakam that’s a year or two younger lol.

The reason I wrote about it is because of the renegotiation and extend aspect. I’ve sent cap stuff to SROS before and he’s thanked me for it so it’s whatever, I was replying to him. 6’1.5 without shoes, almost 6’3 with shoes, like 210lbs, 41in vertical, I think near a 6’8 wingspan, crushed the shooting drills and I believe the cone/lane agility drills etc. People knew he was around 6’3 with shoes, they didn’t know his wingspan or vertical, and he apparently looked WAYYYY better than at USC. Bigger, more muscular/athletic, a really smooth fluid shooting stroke from NBA 3, all that kinda stuff. Ppl still think he should go back to school for a year to get on ball reps, but if he wasn’t LeBron’s son he’d likely end up on a two way contract. Obv he’s LeBron’s son so he’ll go in the 2nd round, but ya.
In relation to bench guys Malik monk played 26 minutes per game this year. Naz Reid 24 minutes per game. These r sixth men who are playing the most off the bench and are even playing more than most other sixth men. U got 2 guys getting 25 per night off the bench dude. Gotta limit the bench minutes
