My favorite part of RE speedruns is when a new RE drops, seeing the first few run times, and watching it drastically fall over the next few weeks/months. Very impressive what the community can figure out as far as strats go
I honestly think the glitchless speedruns are best. There are some skips in the game that you can tell are intentional like the wrecking ball part, or throwing the grenade before the dude pulls the lever, destroying he turret in ch. 15 with the heavy grenades, golden egg on salazar, etc. But glitching through the doors and skipping big chunks of the game is kinda lame (IMO). Especially when I've seen people get times similar as this run without doing those things. There's a difference between efficiency and exploitation. Regardless, it was a good run.
If you’re talking about the grenade pausing, my understanding is that when you pause multiple time during a grenade explosion, the game registers more ticks of damage from it, which is more likely to kill enemies on Professional mode
@@destructo3457 that can be said the same for re3r, but re4 has way more dangerous things, garradors, catapult parts, all the guns/crossbows, and ashley 😭
@@powersslol and i think in pro mode, dynamite can insta kill you if you are near (which quite a bunch of chapter has that enemy) normally even in hardcore mode, it just make you at 1% health
