If you find a bison or moose, trap it with leaves so that you have food for later. I have a moose trapped incase I ever run out of food and can't find any more. I call it my "emergency moose." It won't spoil if it's still alive, and creatures don't despawn from my experience.
Yeah I've done that before. But for now I'm just playing it easy until I get some armour. I don't want to risk death if I don't have too on a world this good👍🏻😁
Nice job! I have a couple of tips based on experiences on an earlier version. Please forgive me if any of this has changed. Beware of wolf shortages, as you're done for if you run out of leather for shoes. At night, wolves spawn on earth while bears spawn on ice. Make sure you have plenty of earth around where you sleep. If necessary, kill bears in order to free up slots for wolves to spawn. You can wear a leather jerkin under a fur coat. This will really make a difference in keeping you warm, in the absence of being able to grow cotton. You can also wear a chain mail shirt under your clothes without needing to take anything off, which is great protection. Literally the only way to find cotton and rye seeds other than in a grave is to find a biome both warm enough and humid enough for them to spawn (if there are none there to begin with they will never appear). On these settings that's extremely rare, but possible. Gradually the sea will recede while the ice extends (at least any sea you are not too far away from). If you want to prevent this, so you can go fishing or whatever, you can place blocks above the unfrozen edges (any height - water never freezes when covered), though that's a lot of work. Making a pit by your house to trap predators can be an easy way to get kills. I made a video showing a design I found particularly effective. Raw eggs rarely make you sick, and count as a different type of food than boiled eggs. This can help prevent you getting sick from too much of the same food, once all the local meat animals are gone. You can also help avoid getting sick from too much of the same food by not eating till you've lost a couple of health points from hunger (assuming your health is full). Biome size is a weird one. A larger size does make it harder to find trees, cotton etc, since on average you'll have to travel further to find them. On 4x biome size I once kept travelling for 2 weeks until my clothes wore out, and still no sign of trees! However, once you do find a good biome, a larger one makes it easier by making the good biome larger. I'd say on balance a larger biome makes the hardest settings a bit harder, but don't worry about it too much. No need to start over IMO. Hypothermia is based on your current body temperature. The colder, the worse it gets. Flu on the other hand is based on how long you have had a low temperature for. If you raise your body temperature back to normal, even for a moment, the counter resets. When warming yourself, if possible do so in an enclosed space and wait till you're having blackouts. This will buy you more time before your temperature drops into the cold range. On the other hand, if you're in a hurry and about to get flu, you only need to sit by a campfire long enough to restore normal body temperature for a second, then you can be on your way again.
Hey thanks for those tips! I knew some of them and then there were some that I completely forgot about ( like the chainmail one ). I had no idea about the the ocean one, that's interesting.
@@Miner417 biome size amplifies luck I think. If there is no tree around there will be no tree across a 4x area. If it’s x0.25 biome you can find tree more consistently but may only one tree as the biome is small
@@Miner417 bigger biome is harder. But of you find tress it will be a dense forest but I Think because already have got fur items you shouldn't make a new world but if you die use 4x because it is harder
Let's be honest guys survivalcraft 2 is only for tough peaple lol now we can tell our children that we had to look after ourselves more and getting food was harder when you see them struggling in Minecraft 😂😂😂
Well I'll definitely make it. But it's going to be after 2 more vids. Because I need to make another episode on adventure mode to balance it out. And then make another vid about another game I play.👍🏻
