I think Kublai Khan was the first show I’d been to where the band themselves were at the merch table. I thanked them for the show and they thanked me for coming. Goes a long way to making fans.
Grew up seeing these guys every other week. I remember seeing them play in someone's barn in Rendon TX back in the day. I'm happy they're seeing success. Matt was always kind to me.
A few years back I got to see these guys for the first time. At the beginning of the show Matt voiced his gratitude for being able to eat some chicken and rice after living on junk food throughout the tour. That stuck with me ever since. What a down to earth guy. This is what the scene should be about. Gratitude, humility, brotherhood, the strength to face all our struggles and some good fucking music. I love this band.
Never heard of these guys before. They're opening for Lamb of God in Vegas. Figured I should check them out. These guys kick ass. Can't wait for the show.
Matt has one of the most realistic expectations on life in general you couldn't tell that this dude is apart of one of the heaviest bands out . He's just a normal dude from Texas who loves Texas Roadhouse
I met Matt at the last Vans tour in Toronto. I bought some of their merch and he gave me a hug and said how much it meant to them. Most personal interaction I ever had from the hardcore scene and man was this guy one of the most genuine guys ever. He even waited late by the merch table while I went to find my girlfriend to meet him. That wouldn’t happen with drake or the weekend
Duuuuude. I remember an episode not so long ago where yall were saying that since you didn't know peeps in the KK camp the feature probably wouldn't happen and I was sad and then I saw the thumbnail and my heart took an awesome shit, like the kind that gives you immense relief for the rest of the day and puts a smile on your face. Anyway, thanks ❤ 😘
I was waiting in line in the rain in New Jersey for the knuckles loose show w koyo, movements and kublai khan. I seen Matt come out and thought I’d make a joke saying “yo could you guys re do your set we missed it stuck in line” and he thought it was funny and told me “ aw brotha I wish I could keep playing but thank you for coming out we’re definitely coming back out here in a few months” and he sat there chatting w me about other stuff. Big dude but a real respectful/ genuine and cool ass guy
Dude,I’m from Kentucky and almost everyone I know sounds and looks just like Matt, look at him, wearing short ass shorts with tube socks up to his knees almost and legs white as hell 😂😂😂 Yup, I know that guy 🤘🤷♂️😂
As a native Texan, and from San Antonio... I'm laughing my ass off. It's pronounced What-A-Burger, but the twang in our accent makes us say WATERburger
I just found these guys yesterday. I outperformed myself at the gym. These guys can do no wrong. They are heavy but groovy. I couldn’t think of a single thing I didn’t like listening to their entire discography. GOOD SHIT!
super stoked to have been tatted by Matt. was in the shop with him for about 4 hours. legendary conversation that i’ll remember for the rest of my days. cheers!
I want to hear the voice of this beat as well... see what he has to say. Anything he says, I hear as... "Arf Arf... roughshod grrrrrrr... baby!" The whole band seems cool.
Can’t believe I didn’t know about these guys for so long. Born and raised Texan you’d think I’d have heard of em sooner. Got to see them at so what 2022, awesome set. Matt seems like a real cool guy, reminds me a lot of one of my favorite coworkers.
