Hi, Aria, tutorial was perfect like ever, but you dont speak about phase issue? i dont know if i m put it right, but before i check phase with phase analyser like voxengo after that and i put a eq in mid side and increase fréquencies, so everthing are like more in your face and sounds less muddy.
TLDR: For people reading the comments - Test your mix in Mono to spot phase issue and make sure everyting can be heard. Hey man, indeed I don't talk about that? phase issue can be a pain to fix and is a bit too advanced for the purpose of this tutorial. But either I'm not getting what you're trying to explain here or something is off, but 1. Phase will basically just cancel sound when put back in mono so eq will no play much role in fixing that 2. Muddiness, or what people call muddiness, usually comes from too little control on the low/low mid end. That's why I always check if a specific sound needs low ends or not, to avoid that muddiness. Bus basically just eqing that region helps a lot. Thanks for this comment anyway, it point out some interesting things other people might wonder!
I just ended a weeks long training on punches to be able to properly explain everything, and just recorded a tutorial for it. It'll be available in a couple of days probably. I also started training my tail making process to be able to clearly explain everything and have a nice result. Then I'll make a tutorial on that :)
loved this video except the part where everything is explained for example a eq that is cut at 200 hz right at the start shouldn't need to be explained but great video none the less !
Thanks for the input :) I always try to explain everything as you never know who comes across the vid. If a complete beginner arrives here, at least he can understand everything... I hope haha
