Make sure to save your kickstand. First bike I hard tailed in high school I forgot to save the kickstand and then later had to spend an hour digging through the metal bin to find it
You got one of the best bobber building page! You actually explain things and also show how. Most other just time lapse with no explanation and just a super fast forward video 👎 Which is not good for watching a "BUILD" video 🤷🤦🏼♀️. Steven Fortier I've used grinders with and without, my air cut off wheel didn't even come with one new (Silver Eagle). With that said, I've saw guys have chunks cut their arm open and one picture of a guy who took 2/3 of a 4 & 1/2" grinding wheel to the chin...like it was embedded. So now I try ensure the important parts of my body are in the safe zone at least lol
Exactly, piping has a seam running all along, it's basically a flat piece of metal rolled into a circle and welded all along, but the dude didn't know. Tubing is a solid poured hot metal extruded into shape. Piping is for plumbing etc and not for automotive or especially for a motorcycle frame.
Where are you located? You said headed to riverside. Thats like 10 miles away from me. Having headlight issues with my bobber hopefully you can throw in some knowledge on how to fix it?

I really love these videos, although it annoys me, how much you can weld and cut a frame in the US here in Denmark, if i cut the frame, or weld on it, its not allowed to use the bike and you cant get it registered :( so we have to be very creative, cus we are very limited.........
Here in canada I can get the ownership for a frame and then do whatever I want with it as long as the vin on the neck matches the ownership! I'm actually going to be using a 70s z1000 frame and putting a shovel head motor in it and springer front end

The welding in the video is tig and inert gas or lens mixture. Better inert since it is on iron and not austenitic steel. It can be done with any type of welding machine, just use the right fill material. Better if flush ... mig. With a gas mixture for iron. Because using too rich mixtures would generate cracks and risk breaking if stressed.
Bobber build?? Most stuff are bought. frame welds, paint, and tire assembly are all done by someone else. I am sure you can do those on your own, so please do. This is just a lego bike.
I was wondering if you could maybe help me with a battery question? Prob a dumb one but I have a 86 454LTD with a VT700c motor.... would you know if I still would be able to run a 4 cell antigravity? The Patreon page pretty clearly states the limitations on who can win the bike, and the limitations are very reasonable - people living in the lower 48 of the US with a valid motorcycle license. International shipping of a motorcycle would add an incredible cost and a lot of red tape for a custom builder who is doing this build in his free time.
