Very good idea to talk about stm32 since they are widelyused today, unlike pic and AVR

Depends on you location, where what is used.

@@BinderTronics In your location PICs and AVR are still used ? Which countries if i'm not asking too much. I only hear about NRF52, stm32, esp32 nowadays

PIC is often used by universities in my country and is still fairly popular in India. A PIC16F is used in a Bitcoin ANT miner. I can not remember the model. The AVR ATmega328P is used in the Arduino UNO and is literally one of the best selling chip. If you are in China you are likely to use STC. I have found it in quite a few designs produced there that have STCs in. STM32 is falling out of popularity at this stage due to there price. This was a trend before the chip shortage and has been exacerbated by it. There is a STM32 for just about every requirement out there. STM32 are particularly will suited for DSP and ASP applications due to there high clock speeds and DMA capabilities. Nordic has done a lot of effort to make there chips user-friendly in terms of development it is also the de facto chips for low power devices Bluetooth or not. ESP32 literally nothing that can compete for the price point to add WiFi to a project.

Hey, can I use my ft232 ftdi adapter to program this?

Believe you are looking for a FT2232. You can have a look at what openOCD supports. You are on your own with integration into the IDE. DAPLink and openOCD is a whole other rabbit hole.
