My parents brought us up understanding the cost of things and the how hard you have to work to afford stuff - it’s the best thing you can do for your kids in all honesty - they asked me if I wanted a new dress for my prom but I knew how hard they worked and understood how expensive prom dresses were… I said I was happy to wear the same one from last year AND meant it. They were so proud they got me a little jacket and new shoes for it 🥰 I knew they’d have given me a new EVERYYHING if they could afford it. They were great parents. I appreciate things so much more because I understand the value of what they were teaching me ❤ love my parents ☺️
@@SquirrelThisI agree with what you said. For my prom I wore my older sister’s dress even though Mom offered to buy me a new one. Dad had been out of the picture for years and Mom raised 6 of us and n her own. There was no way I would have let her buy me a new dress when I knew how lean things were.

I was coming to say the same thing. Very rarely does a father get that type of recognition. It's not something we need, but it's one of the greatest feelings we can ever feel when we do have it
While they may not say it, know that your children are. Trust me. It’s just not something we think to say, or as in my case, realize we should have said.
I had a dad and a stepfather. They co-parent great. Even before my stepfather had a kid with my mom. But After my dad die I told my stepfather I guess I only have one daddy now. For a man I never heard be quiet he didn't say nothing for 5 minutes. I was like you do know we all love both of you dad's right 😂another 5 min's of shock. 😊 you have to understand my mom pick and choose when she wanted to be a mom. When she was around she taught will on how to survive but she wasn't dependable. I could always go to my dad or stepfather who was always there and I could call or go to there house at anytime. They feel like home and safe. I worried a lot when we was with my mom. I was and am a spoiled dad's girl.😊 not the bad kind. Just the kind that was taught how to fix something. But still take it to them to put together 😂😊kind of spoiled 😁 I figured they liked doing ot in my head because they the ones who taught how to fix things so they k ew I could have fixed the stuff. Having a good father is the best thing in the world.

And whats even more heartwarming is, you can tell by the houses in the neighborhood, her "dream home" wasn't some big elaborate expensive house...it was her dream home because it would be theirs. ❤

The "So proud of you papa" almost bought me to tears! Most parents work so hard for their children without asking for anything in return, so it's always good to hear that.

Sometimes I forget how special it is to say this is my home. My wife and I barely had $10 to our names when we met at 19. Bought our first home at 23. Close to 50 now and you just forget at times. We always worked hard. And good people seemed to always be around us to guide us through life. Gods amazing. God bless all of you
