This is actually my favorite song on "A Rock"... and that is saying A LOT. Really have to pay attention to the words. First few times, I didn't and just rocked to it. Then I listened and I cried and apologized to my wife for something I did like this many years ago. Just brought up so much remorse for who I was when I was figuring myself out.
This might be my favorite song on his album. All his songs including this one are so clever and have such good wordplays and twist the meaning on the title and such. Hardy is a future entertainer of the year.
Same. When the album came out, this song connected immediately due to the pandemic. My gf at the time and I broke up and the lyrics were too spot on. Hardy has that natural ability to craft relatable stories that still sound fresh
🙏🙏🙏Us Southern gals know some 'Good 0le Boys' like this ... & We Kiss 'em & Love 'em & Keep 'em! Sooo, 🙏Pray for your own, now ladies go on out & gitcha one, & love him like it's the end of the🌎World!💖💋💕
This song got me through a really tough time when I was leaving love and found new love. And the fear of what it’s like to feel like you’re ending your own world around you.
I Rest My Case, Court Adjourned! Best thing going in Music today...When was the last time you heard an album with great songs from start to finish? I invite everyone to reply on an album that is as solid as A Rock 'cause I'll listen to it and thank you for it. In the mean time keep... RUNNING THE DAMN BALL!!!
Didn't even know who HARDY was til my son passed away and I found give heven some hell never been big on country music until my oldest son loved country. Now I am absolutely in love with Hardy and listen to country
At the beginning of the song, I thought he was referring to himself waking up to the 10 o clock news, sky was falling down, God was calling on the chosen few, said there's fire where there ain't water... as himself waking up the morning of 9/11 and seeing on the news that the sky was falling down and God called on first responders as the chosen few.
@@aprilsmith9210 April I'm not trying to hurt your feelings. I believe Hardy is the GREATEST country musician of our generation. I just think he has better songs.
Big fan and love the song. I just hate that all you big artist play to tracks during “live performances” and sing on top of em. What happened to the real rockers who didn’t play to clicks or back tracks? Last of a dying breed I suppose.
