So, I saw Hardy live in Huntsville. I had never heard of him before and I have to say, the album version of this song is about a 5. The live version is at 11. His stage presence and energy are one of the best I've ever seen. If you get a chance to see Hardy live, do it!

As someone who has heard the other side of Hardy (Stay in the Truck, etc), I think this is awesome. Everyone needs to cut loose form time to time. Keep up the "real" as well as the fun stuff. Love you guys.
I'm pretty sure this songs is actually taking a hit at the current crowd of "country" music artists. Many of which are constantly in a pissing contest to see who's more country. Ironically, the majority sound nothing like country anymore. That's how I took it, maybe I'm wrong.

I'm 57 and spent two years of my adult life living in the country but working an office job. The entire rest of my life has been in the suburbs, which I truly like. So, anyone actually DOING the country thing is rednecker than I am, but I'm fine with that. Even so, I like country people and love this video! And yes, I want to powerslide that Ford and ride on that mattress, 'cause that's just a good time!

It is so true though. Im from east hampton and we would argue with the people from portland saying our town is smaller, and it is actually smaller. Thats a flex in the sticks. Its also funny how many things in this song i can relate too.
Not sure I agree, the video of the acoustic version and his comments would imply otherwise.... and every other song of his relays the same view/persona. I get he is 'kind of' bashing his own parade, and that it was intentional... but more like laughing at yourself, not so much dissing the hick/country community.

Same fuck the city life I was down in Nashville Tennessee in the us and I live in small town Wisconsin. When I was there I was like this is cool but I miss my dirt roads back home.
We used to arena surf, similar to pulling the mattress in the mud. It was a timed event. A horse pulled a piece of plywood as fast as they could down the arena and turn the 3rd barrel to make a run for home, all while someone is standing on the plywood with only a rope to hold on to. Let me tell you an American Quarter Horse can put off some GG’s turning that barrel if they turn to tight. I learned (the hard way) slower is quicker!! Big loop around the barrel is about the only chance your rider has of staying on for the whole ride!

the live version of this is absolutely amazing. Saw Hardy opening for MW this past weekend. I had heard of Hardy but that was it. After the show he put on, I'm a fan now.
