Sauromatum venosum grows also straight in the ground very well. I have many in my garden in Poland, 6B. Just like the colocasia Pink China and some others.
What a great list of plants. I love the persicara painters palette have that in my garden does well. Will look for the other variety you featured. I’m wanting to add ostrich ferns to a place in my garden next year. I also love the look of birds nest ferns
@@tikitropicals65 you are so right. I’ve been trying to build my tropical garden for 5 years and every year I seem to see my tastes and perspectives change the more I see plus what I see works I does not in my own garden. 5 years ago I would not have considered ferns now I’m making them one of my accent plants. I’m enjoying seeing you garden as it is the vision I have in my head for my garden so you detail in videos like this really helps me out
@@wesleyhackney thank you. Your garden and tastes will keep evolving and that’s what keeps it interesting. I’m slowly replacing my plants for more unusual varieties. I feel space is a premium in my garden now so if I’m going to grow a plant I want the best version of it that suites my garden.
Great selection bro 👍🏻 I’ve grown the persicaria veriegata from seed this spring managed get 3 plants from about 20 seeds. I was hoping it’s going to be easy to propagate from tip cuttings and water 🤣 oh well. Deffo a lovely plant surprisingly a good size leaf as well.
@@tikitropicals65 Jungleseeds 👍🏻 always get a batch of something new every year to give them a go. Had great success from a wide selection hardy/semi hardy seeds 👍🏻
I planted a voodoo lily in a pot earlier this year. It's my currently my favourite plant in the garden. Definitely going to plant in a group next year. Just watchout for the smell.
Yeah my planted ones have flowered. The leaf shape is so unusual I felt it needed a mention. I’m now growing a few of these aroids and really liking what they add to my garden.
