Hares and Foxes is a short film shot in winter 2022 in Wicklow, Ireland. It was shot on a Black Magic 6K Pro camera with a DZO Pictor Zoom 20-55 lens.
The film premiered at the Sofie Awards 2022 festival in Los Angeles and participated in more than 20 film festivals so far, obtaining 10 awards including best director, best acting duo, best photography and best sound.

I subscribe to your channel. Wow great work. The dialogues recorded in post? The quality is awesome and the story too. I have the DZO Pictor lens kit and they are incredible!!!!

How many cameras did you use? And did you shoot in Braw or Prores?

Hi, we used a DZO Pictor Zoom 20-55. It gives a nice soft finish to the edges of the frame, a slight blurriness that almost resembles an anamorphic lens. Very recommended!

Nice one. If I way, Ill bring up some suggestions: Cut off the stabilization in the car scene, makes it look CGI. Try to always get a sound guy, and a sound engineer, dubbing will never look real, and it distracts you from the actors performance. Always rewrite the script as many times as you can, you'll notice there are some sentence they feel unnatural as dialogue and that sometimes, less is more.

Valuable feedback Eric, much appreciated! I've been looking for a better stabilization plugin but I couldn't find one, I guess next time we'll just try to shoot on smoother roads haha. I'm checking out your shorts now :)
