Indian Musicians when They Play Music is like an Inner Dialouge with GOD...I remember when I was playing and learning in Varanasi Sitar and after the Vicittra Veena it was such a Blissful Connection that I still have now often when I Pray to Them and Recite Mantras...GODS they will Always BLESS INDIA...NAMASKAR.. KIJE'.. OM
There is no finer sound on earth, then a Bansuri with Mr Chaurasia sweetly blowing through it. Unless Ms Shankar is backing him up on Sitar! Truly God's amongst men. Thanks for the post. Namaste.
Pandit ji has created an immortal and magical painting but he has used his flute instead of paint and brush. I can visualise the scenery he was seeing before his mind's eyes while breathing into his flute. Great masters like Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia ji never die. They live with us through their music.
I have come back to this now and again over about four or five years now, and I am always glad and thankful to be able to find it again. It is a beautiful piece... a beautiful peace. May peace flow through your heart like a calm river.
The blend of flute, santoor, some bass string instrument, tabla, and percussion along with the ambient sound of river/water makes it so enchanting. Excellent recording with zero level distortion!
I bought this album ( and the other 3 of the serie I.e. désert, valleys and mountains) when I was a very young girl travelling and backpacking in India back in the early 90s 😍😍😍 my mum loved them and when we played them at home in the summer, windows open, in our small street, our neighbours came asking about this wonderful music so I bought the tapes for them when I went back to India a year after 🇮🇳 😍🥰
Pandithji is not only greatest musician india has produced, he is also a very modest about his achievement. I was lucky to attend his concert in Bangalore last year on Barka Ritu concert. what an amazing person we witnessed. I was blessed to get drenched in the music of monsoon through his divine flute ! We are truly blessed to have great artistes in India like him, Pandith Shiva Kumar sharma, Ronu Mujumdar to name a few.
m proud of my India,Indian culture.....n Indian classical music...it is divine.....even LORD KRISHNA holds basuri... n Goddess Saraswati holds veena...Lord Shankar has damroo..Lord Gnesh has Mridanga.. Lord Vishnu has shankha.... we call our Lord as Murlidhar..i.e. the one who holds murli n we call Goddess Saraswati as Veenadhari i.e. who holds veena.. music is the eternal part of India.
I come back to this again and again, sometimes after many weeks or months, but it always touches my heart, like washing the dust off your soul. Please never take this down - people need to be able to find this.
Exactly my feelings. I too always come back to this again and again. It touches heart every time i Iisten to it. Complete bliss. Feels like communication with nature, very serene..
With my closed eyes when I play this "song of river" just just i lost myself, i just found myself at the site of river where it ends with sea (Ganga sagar). What a play of flute pt. Ji PRANAM
The Indian music maestros like Hari Prasad Chaurasia are the crown jewels in the field of music not just in India but the whole world. I am a regular trance listener but I like anything in music that makes aesthetic sense and is still without words. Its a good change from hard trance and soothing to the ears.
Sadness prevails every time I find out people scraping out the negativities of the creation instead of just praising music and it's connection to nature, our Mother... People, learn to point out the positive elements to post and not the faults of the 🌍 ...Only the ones who are faltered themselves would see the wrong side of the life.... Only focusing on the right side would let you through the light and beauty of existence... And after all, don't pretend y'all to be blind to the fact that what we get in life is our karma and that we all face together is our collective karma...just accept that wrong leads to wrong and also right leads to a miraculous right ,and you'll know that it's in our own hands to make a difference in our lives.... We just can't blame the outside world for it...when you stay connected to Nature you never find an excuse.... You're a beautiful soul...God loves you...
Makes me feel all around me is beautiful and I’m lucky to be part of this beauty ... people, river, trees, mountains, plain field and all creation lives within me !! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
What a beautiful composition that flowed from the heart of this great soul! Certainly a great moment of time that heaven kissed the earth with the breath of the Divine! May your glorious music live forever in the hearts of the many generations to come! So grateful.
I recently attended Pandit Ji's concerts in Indian Habitat Centre and Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. It was so mesmerizing, literally had goosebumps. Complete bliss. _/\_ peace.
Musicians are real celebrities their life Disciplines is living Happy without smiles. and movie industries are politics, nepotism and mainly they should learn about the disciplines of musicians and our old ancestors prays.
Soothing the spirit, so relaxing, so calm, so strong as the melody grows and reaches a narrative point. One can, thereby, transcend one's ego, connecting then with nature. Transcending time, at last. Thanks grand flute Master.
Music took me to my beautiful memories of serene, holy, auspicious and awesome sunrise by the banks of Ganga and Sangam at Prayagraj... High Respect for you Hari sir...

so enchanting, shut your eyes and get transported to the himalayan mountains far away with little villages nestled in her valleys, then to amar shonar Bangla with her naukas drifting softly on the gentle ripples of Ma Ganga between green paddy fields on either side as far as the eye can see on the horizon!
Can feel river waters & shores with Pt. Hari Prasad ji's bansuri! Divine.. Everything seems calm, full of life and stopped. Musical painting by the greatest artist. Thanks for upload !

Blessed are those who hear these glorious melodies of the heavenly beings in human form, and blessed are they that perceive it in their hearts. Namaskar Harijee! May the Lord bless you with good health and long life, yes, to breath life to many.
one of the earliest accompany of mankind, and, continues to entertain and inspire..after Pannalal Ghosh,he is,perhaps, the best known flutist...a truly great artist..
An experience of a boat ride with those lil sails set... to flow down the rivers along the country side..like in some stone age before the advent of all these machines..beautiful musical ride..
You are just like your name Shri "Hari " . 🙏🙏🙏🙏 koti koti naman aap jaise mahan kalakar ko. I will introduce this traditional and touching to our India root music , to my children also.
its serene, holy, rejuvenating, making us think of this beautiful world where all of them share a bond of love and care and only one religion - of humanity
it doesn't matter how many times u listen to this, it's really beautiful! my words wud fail to describe it,to put itsimply, it's timeless & ethereal..it is rightly said that THE MUSIC IS THE FOOD FOR THE SOUL!!!
The modern rap, the jerky music, loud cacophony and metal experiments alter mind and create candidates for patients. who then will turn towards such music that is tune with natures cycles. nature and universe are the highest form of computers. their computation is far superior than any of han made computers and breath jerks.
This is definitely an ecstatic melody to the zenith! It requires serious concentration to enjoy the various notes and rhythms. Having said that, but this does not mean other musicians should be discredited. There are various genres of music and are often belted out for different occasions. For instance, if one is in a party mood then the default preference would be to go for a track that pulsates with lot of energy thud of deep bass and drums. In such a scenario any fusion music or shennai etc would simply turn anticlimax. The bottomline is that one needs to be versatile to understand various genres of music and it's occasions and purpose before blatantly condemning other musicians!
