You have one of the best reviewing system I have seen! Nice playing, great tone,I am impressed!Keep up the great work you have won a viewer sir! Many good things to you - Peace
This is the best guitar review I have ever seen. For those of us who know what specs we like in a neck the measurements you showed are really valuable.
One of the best guitar reviews I've seen. The small window in the upper right hand corner with the animation of the pickups being used was a stroke of genius. HB has some great guitars for a very low price.
I love how you break everything down. I wish other channels measured the neck shape & frets instead of describing them based on their opinion. Much appreciated. You have a new subscriber.
A great & recent example I can give is, I’ve been interested in the Yamaha Revstar line of electrics. All the demo videos out there have been pretty lacking in information. One RU-vidr says it’s has a chunky neck. I thought “great”! I picked one up 2 weeks ago and it has a real slim neck. I still like the guitar but I wish it had a fatter neck. I know someone will say “that’s why you need to try one out at a store”. If they were around here I would.
@@MrTimThunder Decent brands provide this indication. Ibanez list their neck thickness for all models and Yamaha do to. Here's the Revstar: uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/el_guitars/rs/specs.html#product-tabs 21 to 25 mm is on the thicker side of things.
Outstanding info and to-the-point sound demo ! No need to spend more time listening to pedal-rigged demos made by speedy showing off shredders. You’re the best !
Truly excellent review! I am 61 years old and have been reading reviews since before you were born. I have owned 100’s of guitars since 1973, and now truly know what I like and don’t like. I particularly like the fact that you measure the frets. I have found that lots of people say medium jumbo for their frets, but they are not. They are either smaller than that, ( most common) or occasionally larger like this guitar. As a result of watching your review (I love fat frets and I cannot lie 😀) I will now be going to but one of these tomorrow. Thank you Max and more power to you.
Im only just getting into guitars because im gonna buy one for my 18th birthday, i dont even have knowledge that goes this far yet the review is entertaining and informative, great content!
What a great review! No one else but you entered so in dept on feature like fret size, neck profile (very usefull the neck profile comparition with othere brands!) and neck dimensions. Thanks for these precious information.
I just stumbled onto this channel. And the review procedure was fantastically thorough and professionally implemented. Maybe the best on RU-vid. Looking forward to future segments -- and obviously, I subscribed. Thanks, Max!
Best guitar I've ever bought for the money. I bought the Floyd Rose version and it stays in tune better than this one would for sure. I wish I had three pickups though and wish the volume knob was not as close to the whammy areas as well.

Thank you for the review! I'm in the process of deciding for a versatile guitar, and while I was pondering about a Fender MIM Player Stratocaster, these Harley Benton Fusion series did grab my attention. Your video will help me immensely about making an educated decision, as one cannot try a Harley Benton at a local shop. Great stuff!
I have both. The Fusion came perfect, the Fender MIM had to go right to an authorized repair dealer because of two high frets. Fender covered it under warranty though, which was cool
love the camera direction and quality. of course your explanation is useful and very good. THanks for sharing the video and information for Harley Benton Guitar. I have been using one of HB guitars and a fan, THanks again
I love that you did the neck profile in this video... The one thing that i always want to know in every single guitar is the neck profile. having small hands i'm limited to what is comfortable for me. Thank you kindly for doing this. Please do this on all your guitar reviews. It helps me when buying guitars.

Very informative! Like the concept with the penalty points
I have just watched your review in awe. You are the best guitar reviewer I have seen to date; and I review guitars too. The detail is superb and the presentation is excellent. I will learn from you. Well done. TB’s My Time TV.
Thank you for a very detailed, scientific style review as often reviews tend to be more subjective and incomplete. I appreciated the sound comparison to the Strat as a benchmark of its tone as compared to a better known instrument.
I have to say that your review is excellent my friend. Worth a subscription for sure :-) I personally have the roasted/toasted flame maple neck on my HSH 11, and actually am pretty happy with it. For the price I think it is a grand guitar... Also was very surprised when I got the VINTAGE Stratocaster ST-62 so much fun to play on my BLACKSTAR tube amp!!!! Yeah, Harley Benton has surprised me quite some, and a tad more...
Wow! Excellent video.. super informative and very thorough! Thanks for a great unbiased review. Your point system is on point 😆. I’ve seen a couple of your videos before, but this one is the best to date. You hit all of the bases and probably answered more questions than you know. I’m a fan...
@@MaxSoloMusic I'd love to see a review of the CST-42, ST-70 or ST-62 Series and how they compare to standard Strat. Good luck with your next one, but I want you to know your effort is appreciated.
Awesome video, glad I stumbled across your channel last week. Your reviews are amazing. I love the way you look not only at sound and asthetics, but also the wiring and overall construction of the guitar. Finding those extra noises was something most would have missed - especially a noob like me!
If anyone is having any doubts - just buy one. I couldn't believe myself how good this guitar is. Not all HB are good guitars, but Fusion II is outstanding
1. Agree with comments below: best review system and best reviewer. Subscribed! 2. Nothing actually "bad" can be said about HBs. You get so so many cool features for such an affordable price! I mean, getting an HB means trying to save some $$, in most cases, so those minuscule details are irrelevant - IMHO Great video!
Hi. Wow your review is near perfection. Thanks for making the video. I didn't understand the noise test, what would you do to eliminate the noises? Regards.
Great presentation. All the facts no fluff and your visual aids and graphics are superb. You get your points across with crystal clarity. I do think you are a bit harsh deducting 2 penalty points for the two extra tools needed for adjustments. Most guitars don't come with any tools.
Thanks for the in depth critique! Not just reading specs like others do. Good to know you’d need to address the tone pot but has some beautiful pickup combos like the middle and split neck!
What a beautiful guitar. If I were a real lead guitar player on be all over one of these. But I like the simplicity and the sticky single-coil pickup sound of a Tele. I wish HB would make a tele style with Mexican tele sized SS frets, single coil pickups, matching headstock and a Floyd Rose trem. And I agree with everybody else... Your reviews are the best.
Really liked the detail in this review, the graphics of the pickups work really well. The penalty points system is a great way to judge all guitars the same. I thought the neck profile examples was a really good idea as well. Nice work.
Hi Max. Your channel is awesome !! I bought a Mooer 9v power supply because of you and it's dead silent. Thank you and keep rockin man !! Cheers from Brazil ! I'm inscribed, off course :)
overall - build, quality, finishes, hardware. There are obviously going to be corners that are going to be cut on the cheap guitar and these cuts can range from anything and everything. Bad finish, bad paint job. bad inlay job. misaligned pickups. Not as ergonomic or balanced so uncomfortable to play standing up for long periods etc etc etc. More expensive guitars will always have more attention to detail and quality with less imperfections.... Unless youre Gibson of course. There is a time and place for more expensive guitars. These HB guitars however are more affordable working man's guitar. you can gig it, beat it and scuff it up and you wont be as pissed about it. HB do make good guitars but there are lots that leave the factory needing to be set up or having imperfections that wasnt fixed before it left the factory. If you watch some HB videos of people reviewing their HB guitars, you will hear about them. The guitars that do leave the factory for reviewers to be reviewed do get cherry picked and have more attention payed to them IMO - Even though reps at thomann have denied this. Some times there are a few minor issues and imperfections but they are only very minor compared to average joes who bought their guitar directly from thomann who might require a set up, fret levelling/sanding of sharp edges etc etc. Im not saying super expensive guitars are all perfect. a few do slip through the cracks but those are very few and far between. ::EDIT:: Oh and better tailored hardware - Pickups are usually paired with the guitar because of the way they sound. A lot of time and money has gone into making those pickups where as not as much love or detail went into making those Roswells. Of course they work. They are functional and serviceable. but at the end of the day, they are cheap and mass produced and that sort of production will only get you so far. But sounds are subjective. Some people might like how muddy cheap pickups sound because it fits with their sludge/doom metal band where as for more technical players might not like it because the pickups dont offer that clarity and separation in the high end or the lack of mid range etc etc. Other hardware like tuners and bridges can be their own in house cheaply made tat - This guitar is made to be affordable. the quality of materials is going to suffer in one way or another. I watched in another video where a guy switched out the bridge of his HB with a Wilkinson wrap around or fixed bridge and he got so much more sustain out of the guitar. The acceptable margin for error and imperfections is a lot higher compared to more expensive guitars.
RoseOfHizaki I agree with your points but these days you can get a cheap guitar that plays great. You really couldn’t about 15 years ago.gibson seem to be the laziest of the big names however.
@@Rose.Of.Hizaki that's not my experience of higher end Harley Benton's. The main reason they are cheaper is that they have no distributor network - they are selling them wholesale via one retailer not because they are cutting corners. Most other guitar makes have more middle men taking a slice of profit. In fact they are probably coming out of the same factories as the more expensive guitars with a similar QC and spec (excluding GIbson who are worse at QC!).
Hi, first video that I watch from you and I love the fast way how you analize every point, very practical and little talking. And also you don´t missed any point of the specs of the guitar... so gut as Darrel Braun Guitar Channel or few others... subscribed and like to you bro PS: I would aprecciate if you just show how to get rid of the noise... big thanks
Awesome, thank you! And welcome aboard. Here's my Noise Mechanics video, it shall answer some questions - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g3Tp5-hEgJ8.html
Thanks for your review. It is very detailed and it is an honest one. I have a question, What are mods can be done on this guitar? For example, what can we do to suppress the noise?
Very methodical review, well done. And decent, brief, comparative playing too. Some folks play too much. I disagree with the points off for lack of tools..., I have way more tools sitting around than the ones that come with this guitar... Overall, very helpful... Thanks Max!
Best review I have ever seen... Just out of curiosity, how would you get rid of the noise from the bridge springs and the headstock? I own a high end HB acoustic and is amazing.
I usually use velcro for both headstock and tremolo springs. I believe I explained it in details in my video on my Max Solo Texas guitar. Sometimes I also use Tesla dampers for the headstock
Nice review Max, enjoyed watching. Great scientific approach, a wonderful way of organising the many thoughts associated with choosing and receiving a guitar, into a form we can all understand!
Thanks Chris. I can no longer find specs for older Fusions, so it's hard to tell. But notice that some Fusion-II guitars have pickups with covers and those have slightly different tone
@@MaxSoloMusic Thanks for trying Max. The Fusion RM is a beautiful instrument, very well made and plays perfectly but I feel the pickups let it down badly. Mine are uncovered Roswells. I would love to replace them with something rich sounding for 70s rock and rich country tones but I have no clue what to try! The Roswells are thin and toppy to my ear.
That was a great review, I am always skeptical about the impact the amps are having on a guitar, and the switch between the Strat and this was really good to hear. Think this may be my next purchase and Harley Benton and Thomann should know that this is down to your review.
