What is the shipping charge on those Firefly guitars you have on your videos?

I have bought 4 HBs from Thomann and I get them in great shape and in 3 days,amazing,I recently bought 2 kit guitars from them and that helps with the shipping, reverb can take 2 or 3 week's.

I’ve seen shipping quotes for 2 guitars at around $73 total (to Texas)

They wanted me to pay for my return shipping back to Germany when my guitar showed up in an unplayable state, so just know they don't always treat their customers this way.

I just pulled mine off the wall when I saw this video. Forgot how light it was. Great guitar if you get a good one. Mine has a bit of neck dive like an SG. But seated it's super comfortable. Neck feels really short and easy to get to the nut. Exact opposite of how the SG feels.

Yea but you are still supposed to pay the tax directly to the state you live in and with the new Fed tax rules you are better off to keep everything on the up and up.

The$80,000,000,000 going to the IRS or the $600 sellers limit until you have to pay tax on the used shit you sell or the "if you have $10,000 total go through your bank account in a year you can be audited !? Or do you know not but wanted to warn some people about a rule that you don't even know !?

All stores in the UK and EU include 20% in their published prices but they state that if they are shipping to countries outside of the UK/EU, VAT will be deducted. It is then the responsibility of the recipient to pay any tax relevant to their country.

@@jrm2fla Did you buy it on Reverb? Reverb is USA based and automatically charges the sales tax and distributes to the correct State. When I was selling on Reverb I liked that they took care of the sales tax but some people are always trying to get away from Sales Tax laws.

Yeah, it's very similar to a double cut LP. Has a real nice body carve though. I actually have the exact guitar Max has in this video. The other random problem with Thomann is heavy bodies sometimes. Mine's only 6.75lbs. Unfortunately, I've got 15 guitars and just don't play it. Was planning on trading it, but now that you can't get it I kinda want to keep it - lol.

2 days from germany to texas once the order was handed over to UPS. It took a day to get it packed and shipped. Every guitar and bass I have ordered took only 2 days to get to me.

Hopefully this means better customer service too, it was impossible trying to return my guitar to Germany. Between the customer service reps not speaking English hardly at all, HB requiring me to pay return shipping and import fees, and the state of the guitar I got being terrible, I really doubt I'll try HB again, but who knows.

There are no import fees for merchandise valued under $700.

I have made the mistake of selling some really great guitars over the years, and now I find I can't replace them, since their current costs are $3000 or better. DON'T sell a really good guitar unless you are desperate for cash. Even the "cheap" ones will cost more in a year or two. Don't make the same mistake I did.

My wife used to get angry at me because I had too many guitars, but I turned things around. I told her that statistics show that men die first. So i told her, if I keep buying guitars, she was gonna have a great yard sale when I'm dead. Now she doesn't get angry at me for buying more guitars, she just worries about my health, always asking me if I feel alright.

Are you taking into consideration VAT/Import fees?

I'll pay a little more to know I can return it here in the states if there's a problem. Also much faster to get the guitar from here.

And if there a return/exchange issue, I think the guitars still have to go back to the Germany anyway fr what I've heard. So I'm not entirely sure what the point of this US warehouse is. Save less, have more headache? It might help people who only want one guitar, don't mind a cosmetic issue, and/or are able to fix something minor. That doesn't pay to most people. In order to make sense, they really need to make sure they can accept returns within the US too. They also need a website for sales. Most people don't want to regularly buy from Reverb because that often has its hangups, and it's just a less friendly user experience when someone wants to browse and is completely unfamiliar with their guitars. The Reverb fees also bump up the overall price for the consumer in addition to raising prices as compared to ordering from Germany to make up for shipping costs. It surprises me that they didn't hook up with Sweetwater, GC, and other large retailers who already have warehouses and systems in place where the prices and shopping experience would have been similar to buying from Thomann directly. Even if these places are their competition in a sense, I think it would have been more lucrative for Thomann to work with other large US chains. No renting a warehouse and staff to pay, no worrying about shipping without their own, no Reverb fees . . . and more sales due to an easier and better customer experience.

@@MashaT22 very unlikely that they would return defective $300 guitars to overseas. It costs like $100 to ship a single guitar out of the US if shipped alone so that'll lose money for sure. Plus repairing defects often costs more time and money than the profit it can make on inexpensive instruments. Maybe after 20 years there might be enough at a distribution center to stuff a 20' container, which is like....700 solid bodies, to minimize freight cost. But by then, the inventory is outdated, significantly reduced in value, from what was already reduced due to defects. Plus with the $3000 minimum container cost to ship defective guitars to overseas, and tariff and customs clearance fees, it seems unlikely......

@@BuckB3420 Idk if they have their own offical website but I've seen their guitars on amazon for around $150-$320 depends on the model you want and tbh I can't say anything about them bc I don't own an ivy guitar so I would check the reviews and any videos on youtube about ivy guitars.

I played one of their green Les Paul's and it was quite nice for the price of the guitar. Cheap hardware, but what do you expect at that price point. Swap out the junk with premium parts and you have a nice guitar under 600 bucks.

I got an IYV ITF-300 NA Hollow body Tele for $130 off Amazon a couple years back. Needed some adjustments for string buzz and tighten hardware but it’s a great guitar. The Destiny Humbuckers in it are very good. Lightest guitar I own with monster tones. Stays in tune. Not going to change anything on it.

What was the price? It's $369 USD today free shipping which is ridiculously cheap. Brand new set of Celestion V30s is about $330 USD I'm ordering one soon. If you, be sure to check speaker serial number to make sure it wasn't made during the bad years. Mid 2000s.

@@CakedNinja At that time I think they wanted $249 for the Celestion version of their 2x12 and an extra $97 to ship it. Actually still a good deal all-around but more than I could spend at the time. So if it's $369 now with 'free' shipping that's still reasonable considering everyone's raised their base prices a bit this year.
