Nothing beats a thunderheader

Mom's #1 both of the other two are simply different and sound good, but twin cam is what an HD sounded like when I was a kid.

Thunderheader is always going to get the best sound in my opinion. I just love that sound of the Thunderheader, the M8 motors definitely don't have the sound of the twin cam motors.

Nothing sounds like a Thunderheader. You can tell that sound apart from any exhaust even a quarter mile away. That is the sound that made me fall in love with Harley's in the 90s seeing guys wheelie Frisco style FXRs with Thunderheaders.

They are all very sweet sounding and looking machines. Love that everyone has a custom plate too. The video really picks up how much your mom's bike shakes... its like its alive, also give it the edge on the sound track too. Don't matter what you got. Ride often and ride safe!

I’m runnin a pro-pipe on my 13 RG,, sounds awesome. But my second choice would be the Thunder header. Your Moms bike sounds the best! By the way,, do some maintenance on her bike for her, fender tip and right side bag needs tightened. Just sayin

The D and D sounds awesome with that raspy sound from the perforated baffle for the M8. Yes, Mom's bike sounds great due to the twin cam vs M8. Great comparison. Thank you very much.

Thunder header all day. I have one on my dyna and love how it sounds. Glad to see so many people like the thunder headers.

Mom's bike is definitely bumpin. The bike moves like its alive. Friggin awesome. Just bought me a 2021 road glide standard this month and love it. Miss my stage 2 softail, but tying my backpack to the sissy bar all the time was getting annoying. Great video.

Mom’s pipes hands down, makes me want to buy a 2016, the last year of the Twin Cam. I think the D&D sounds outstanding the way it sits. I can’t imagine how much better it would sound with a Cam, and I think I’d have them make me true duals as well. Never been a fan of a dummy pipe.

My FM Jackpot High Rollers really shined after I installed the S&S 475c cam. Way more aggressive sound along with the FM header pipe and the tune from Jamie! Man on man, I can’t complain. But I think that twin cam does sound good.

Mom's Sounds good, I have the Rinehart 2 into 1 on my 05 Twin Cam and it really opened it up. Love the seat on your bike.

I'm a twin cam guy. My '12 FLHR with the Vance and Hine 2 into 1 sounds great and runs better. Threw some Fueling cams on it, stage 1 intake and better cam chain tensioners and adjustable push rods. Fantastic motor.

Never tried the Jackpots, had D&D’s man they were loud. Running cheaper Cobras now, just like the sound. Have Thunder on the FDXR (twin) it turns heads when you get on it. Lol I do like the dummy with bags it just looks better to me, more symmetrical. Love to see a family ride. 👍🏼 Thanks for the share!

Thanks for the video. I think they took my duals off my 2010 Street Glide and installed a similar one that your Mom has. The ones I bought my Harley with were not correct and missing a mounting bracket and O2 sensors are not in correct location. So I’m trying to get an idea of what to expect. If I should go back to dual or not. One thing I’m confused about on your lineup if all three are the same set up? Are they all two to one? You mentioned yours and your dads Harley have a dummy pipe?

I have a D&D Fatcat on my '97 RoadKing, EVO's rule!!! My motor is all S&S & I did it myself. I think it sounds really good but, they get loud after a couple of years. I've never seen an exhaust system thats so easy to install. Right out of the box, just put it on & tighten it down. I've had it for almost 10 years & no rust or anything!!! I live in Michigan too, North of Grand Rapids so, I know about not being able to ride all year long.

Any suggestions on where best to purchase a dummy pipe? Just got a street glide special with the 2 to one 4 1/2 inch bassani exhaust and need the dummy pipe. I'm having trouble locating online.

Thunderheader sounds the best. BTW the rear fender tip on that bike looks like it loose. The fender tip was bouncing around when you were revving it up.

Man I miss my twin cam springer after listening to her bike!!

I had the road and track on my M8 and absolutely loved it, until I put a cam in. The sound completely changed, for the worse unfortunately. Switched to the D&D and it sounds much better and picked up some power down low.

Hey there guy! I just bought a 2018 Road Glide Ultra. Same seat and setup mostly as yours. However, the stock windshield and the 15" klocks Werks both give me a lot of wind on my head. I'm only 5"10. Do you think I went the wrong way with the taller windshield and maybe should go shorter like yours? Do you get a lot of wind bad in the face and forehead at all?

I too was a invisible. Then I scored this 2005 Honda Civic. We're talking cherry. Sawed off the exhaust. Now I'm cruising the hood in this insanely loud supercar - brutal. The ladies are taking notice. sick

I went d&d on my 2022 road glide dragging it sounds amazing

They all sound good but I like the 114 with the S&S mufflers is my choice that's what I have on my bike and with the 462. Cam sounds awesome but I love them all!!

I have a 2019 Street Glide Special and hated how it sounded. I have Samson True Duals, Samson 4” performance exhaust and Hi-Flow A/C, power vision tuner. I upgraded and went with S&S 475c and S&S oil pump/plate. This gave me the twin cam sound I was looking for. I did some more homework and swapped out my baffles with TAB Zombie Baffles....Game Changer. Bike sounds like a beast. I do lose back pressure with the Zombies but love the sound. I ordered the next step down baffles from TAB for long trips or if I ride with my crazy crew who think they are the “Unknown Riders”. If you plan to change your cam, upgrade your oil Pump because they have had major issues with M8 and have already changed their oil pumps 3 times. Something to think about. I know you mentioned Fuel Moto and that’s where I get all my performance parts. They do your homework for you and create a tune for you. Good Luck

Twin cam just has the Harley sound but like the sounds of all three. D&D fat cat on a twin cam sounds the absolute best in my opinion. I have a 2017 SGS and going to put the D&D billet cat on mine like your pops but will use the redshift 468 cam,hoping for that Harley sound and no more Honda Davidson sound LOL! Ride hard,safe and for the brand!👍😎🏍

100% thunderheader. I run a stage 1 103 roadie myself with a Bassani road rage. My mechanic is running a Frankenstein pipe on his roadie. Its a fusion between the Bassani road rage and thunderheader. That thing kicks ass. Looking into something like that in the near future. Nothing against the other pipes. Ride safe everyone.

I hate the looks of the thunderheader but I’m afraid thats the pipe I’ll switch to in the future. I’m already running a stage 4 on my 117ci 2019 FLTRU with 126hp and 128tq. But I want a lot more out of it. May go to the SE 131ci Kit eventually! :)

yea i ordered the thunder header i have a 2019 road glide and i got the false to moms bike sound good 💯 % but you should screw that bottom light back in it look like the screws are backing out it’s moving but love moms bike sound for sure

I assume that D and D Billet Cat has the standard vortex wrapped Baffle? Now that you have the RTX baffle in the fuel moto how does the sound compare volume wise between the two. I know hard to quantify, but would you consider them close, or jackpot much louder or? Thanks

Better keep an eye on that Lucky Dave's seat,just had to send mine back to Saddlemen because the stops on the bottom collapsed and the seat pan was riding on my frame

I have a 2010 Softail Deluxe with a 96 hp 108 torque 103 , rocking the D&D Fatcat 2 into 1. I like having a fairly obscure D&D exhaust. You don't see them very often. It sounds very angry.

The license plate and the fender tip light on the middle one -with Thunderheader- and the M8 on the end -with the D&D- both look like they’re moving/wiggling. Is that a camera effect or are they loose?

D&D sounds nice. I think I’m headin in that direction.

M8 and TC D&D..... Had a few exhausts on my 16. Currently D&D on my Streetglide TC 124 and Dyna Low Rider S TC 110..... Best blend of quality, performance and living with em everyday.... Throaty, sounds great, but you can ride it all day long without wearing you out with the wrapped baffle... The others..... ehhh...
