Are the engine cases the same for the 4 and 5 speed transmissions? Are they interchangeable? I believe I have two 4 speed 883 engines and one 1200 5 speed but have not torn them down. I would be lucky to have 3 good transmissions. I guess I should rephrase the question. Can I bolt a 4 speed transmission where a 5 speed was originally and vice versa?
