And the only reason he killed people for her was because he wanted be the one in control of her, not someone else. In BoP, they break up. And it ultimately leads to Harley actually being happy.

I love how he finally proves he realizes he loves her...doesn't want anyone else to have her. Only girl he's ever been sooooo jealous over to the point of murder....letting anyone and everyone know that she is his. And his only. I love it!! She tried soooo hard to get him to love her. Until finally he gave in, amd that Chemical scene proves it. Though she was a pain in his ass....he deep down loved her...but didn't realize it at the time. It was a crazy relationship, but he was always trying to rescue her. To extreme measures...that was how he was shieing her he loved her back. Freaking beautiful

In the comics Harley gets pregnant with the Joker’s child. She disappears for the nine months, and leaves the baby with her sister because she knows Joket would be a horrible father. The Joker never knew and when Harley visits she is known as the baby’s Aunt.

I don't know why Jared Leto got a lot of hate, I really think his screentime was too short to judge him. He really needs to do another movie with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.

The first Suicide Squad was a complete mess, but the one thing they did that I loved was make a Joker/Harley Quinn relationship where they both loved each other. They were epic.
the saddest thing is that Harley loves Mr. J but, he's been hurt so much- he's never been loved, so he refuses it at first but starts to realize that Harley would do anything for him, and trusts her, he asked her if she'd live for him. Meaning that he would rather die than be alive, but she'd do the same to be with him. its not a toxic relationship its the start of a beautiful love until birds of prey. Joker drove Harley crazy tricking her into thinking he had it so rough and making up lies so she would pity him and he never showed affection to her he just used her the only thing joker loves is Batman for he thinks there equally as insane so he’s obsessed bc he can’t get Batman to kill like him even tho there both crazy Harley is emotionally and physically abused they just don’t show it in this adaptation Harley is just a toy to the joker and she can’t see it bc all she wants to have is love

Joker is extremely abusive to Harley. In the comics he has actually killed her several times in different versions/alternate universes and someone who has severe Stockholm syndrome will always go back to their abuser. Which is what's up with Harley. I'd even go so far as to say it's not Stockholm syndrome it's nightingale syndrome. That's where a professional mainly medical professionals fall for their patients in bizarre ways. Harley has admitted this abuse and is rebounding finally. Their whole relationship is nothing to idolize and love. However you can love the joker and love Harley. Because I do but I hate them together.

He raped her and hit her, threw her out on the streets, put her in extremely dangerous situations so batman would be distracted and would save her so that joker would be able to escape and he also mentally abused her. Telling her she never looked beautiful, nobody would ever like her, she'd be nothing without him and stuff like that. These things happened in the comic series Batman the joker and Harley Quinn as far as I know. Many things also happened in the animated series since that is were the character of Harley Quinn is actually from Hope I could still help even tho I didn't really understand what u meant

It’s now 2022 and I still can’t understand why Leto got so much hate. I think he played the role really well, even other actors who have played joker say it’s not an easy role to play. It’s Just a shame they cut a lot of his scenes out. And as for the gangster look- that wasn’t down to him. But his version of the joker was the best upto yet (by that I mean the over all look of the character) , all the tattoos looked great. He even chopped his gorgeous hair off and let them bleach it etc, and he shaved his eye brows off.. he deserves a lot more credit for that a lone
These two keep the fire on screen and fans wanting more of epic toxic love story. I love Harley is a little of every thing and the scenes have a lot little meanings in her broken faded life.

This is the edit of the MOVIE. so if people want to appreciate their relationship in the movie, they can. because i also agree it was romanticized. and thank god it was because I like this version of Joker better than the comics. At least when it comes to his relationship with Harley. He loves her in this film. and thats a darn beautiful thing :D
That’s exactly been my point. And I’ve read the comics too. I’m not bothered by this different interpretation of them. I thought Jared played the part pre well. For what they were going for. I don’t mind It at all. And they are pre cute together, even. To each their own. No love is perfect.
