Just went through something like this...Took my TC103 in to get a Camchest upgrade...I knew about my back cylinder sparkplug hole threads were cross threaded and that was going to be replaced(rearhead)...With good compression didnt think anything else was needing replacement when my Guy look into the Cylinders saw deep groves in the cylinder walls and pitted edges on the pistons so replaced those also...So in addition to new cam and camchest my to Topend minus the front head was replaced....
Hi Gary, are you still duel plugging Shovelhead heads? I am planning for my winter project and need someone to do my head work... let me know... thanx Tommy D
On a twin cam 88b, if going to 98inch, heads and cam, at what point does one need to be concerned about crank issues provided it specs out when doing the work? Or should one just have crank welded and rebalanced?
