That’s something I still can’t figure out. If this game is tied to the Arkham games, how are they going to explain blackcasting Deadshot? I know that since the 2016 Suicide Squad movie, when Will Smith played him, they’ve been trying to make black Deadshot canon going forward, but it’s just off-putting when the character was already set to look a certain way in the previous games set in the same canonical universe. If they really wanted to not cause confusion, they should’ve just called him Bloodsport like in The Suicide Squad (2021) movie, and nobody would be the wiser. Hell, they could've taken it one step further and said that Deadshot was his mentor, and learned everything from him.

I'm think they're going to explain it at some point in the story. They referenced it multiple times already in the game. In the opening cutscenes, Boomerang even tells Deadshot, "Aren't you supposed to be white?" And later on in the in game banter the others are trying to get the full story out of him @@rushmaverick1923

Playing as Harley and her seeing the Batman Museum would be accurate since she was there throughout the Arkham Quadrilogy. She was there at the Blackgate Riots, the Joker’s Madhouse takeover, the Rise of Arkham City, and Scarecrow’s City of Fear. This makes you want to play all 4 Arkham games again.

At the very least, it seems like the writers here remember Harley was traumatised by Joker’s death(s). Other cutscenes seem to indicate those writers forgot that Arkham Harley never left the Joker, remaining obsessed with him even after his death. I suppose it’s been 5 years since the events of the last game, but it doesn’t seem enough to make her completely move on like she is the comic book version of Harley.

@@daniellivingstone4523 Croc is in the museum, when you get to this part in the game, Batman turns off the lights at starts to pick off the Squad one by one, you start off as Deadshot and you walk by a cutout set up for the start of Return to Arkham, where there’s a cutout of him, when he leaves the elevator, before heading into a portion for Arkham city after.

This is such a weird character assassination - at least to me - of Arkham Harley, cause like she did a lot of unforgivable shit in the Arkham games with the Joker - that dlc amusement park guy or tortuing Jason for months on end - and continued tried to revive him metaphorically post his death, their trying to make this character into the more main stream version of the character which robs me the wrong way cause this just seems so forced to me.

I'm glad that there aren't any mentions to the events of Arkham Origins. Thinking about it, maybe current Rocksteady doesn't consider Origins as canon anymore, so it's puts more weight onto the overall consensus that Suicide Squad is not canon in the Arkhamverse. Besides, and certainly not least, i wouldn't want to hear Jack Ryder talk about what happened in Origins as if it was a funny amusement park instead of something serious.

That sounds good to me, we can pretend this game doesn't exist either. After all, when Knight released, we got multiple references to Origins, and even Sefton Hill confirmed it was canon. So, by default; if Origins isn't canon according to what we see in Suicide Squad, then it means that this game can't be canon in the main Arkhamverse timeline, don't you think? It's convoluted, but this technicality adds legitimacy to the argument that Suicide Knight is a bad fanfic that is out of continuity.

The Brave and Bold comic book series had issues featuring Batman teaming up with fellow superheroes 😂 I understand what you’re saying about Batman being stubborn and overly independent, I was just making a humorous comment that Batman obviously had to have no associations with other DC superheroes during the Arkham trilogy, because crazy shit goes down in City and Knight, that’s all 🤦‍♂️ 😂

@@michaeldiaz9999 First of all Batman's arc in origins was about finding strength in his allies rather than being alone all the time, in Knight he went through an arc where he overcame his fear that his allies would get hurt if he let them help, he would absolutely ask for help if he could. Second of all Batman is not arrogant, he's all too aware of his limitations and his only goal is to help others not show off.

I’ve always assumed Batman was a Justice League member well before the Arkham Asylum game took place. If famous story arcs like Knightfall, Killing Joke, Year One, and Death in the Family took place in the Arkham universe, I thought a young Bruce Wayne surely met the other superheroes and formed the team way before the three Rocksteady games took place.

I loved Harleys character in the Arkhamverse (injustice as well), but she seems so off in this game. I at least appreciate Harley being playable again and Kevin returning to be Batman but the way it’s Handled in this game is just disappointing. Harley shits on her old outfits, Batman dies in a disrespectful way and it’s like a slap in the face to the fans who grew up playing Batman. If this was a standalone title it wouldn’t be “as bad” but its canon meaning somehow Harley isn’t obsessed over joker now and likes ivy even tho they were just best friends. For me Arkham Knight was perfect to end the Arkham franchise. Batmans end is honourable, we get to play as Batman, Nightwing, Catwoman, Red Hood, Harley, Robin, Azrael and Batgirl (ig u could include joker kinda as well). i do think the Batmobile was overused in knight tho XDD. Tbf I think I would enjoy this suicide sqaud game mainly with traversal and maybe shooter. I can’t lie as soon as I saw this “Arkham Harley” not supporting her red and black colour scheme and seeing dead shot have a race swap and then it being a “shooter” game, ik it would probs fail/not do well. Tbf I enjoyed avengers (it got rlly repetitive rlly quickly tho) and Gotham knights. I have a feeling I will like the gameplay, traversal and new chapter stories (Idk now tho actually), I just don’t like what happens to the JL. Thx Sweet Baby and Rocksteady for ruining a legacy. I get we are playing form a villains pov but it’s rlly not the JL dying for me at this point. It’s how they die 😢. However it is what it is unfortunately . So Yh I’m not considering it canon and I’m just gonna try to appreciate the game since Kevin performed in it. The four Arkham games are still the best XDD (at least Batman doesn’t look rlly weak and Harley looks cool in those). Anyways I hope everyone has a lovely day! RIP Kevin Conroy.

Perhaps In another reality. Bruce chose to push everyone away. Being the demon bat of Gotham. Leaving that fate to be ambiguous for him. (Arkham Prime) However on another Earth (Suicide Squad). This version of Bruce chose not to push people away. To join the Justice League. Only to lose it all because of Brainiac and his multiverse invasion. Then again it’s fan theory. What if it was revealed that being revived by the lazuras pit , also grants immunity to brainac. Jason could show up and explain this. Youd still get your "kill the justice league" but it would play better to the comedy since theyd just come back. Post game could include a section where you vist the recoving leaugers and the squad gives them a hard time for going down to a bunch of underdogs.

Nightmare bats is also part of a boss fight. And why the hell would you want a nightmare batman game when Conroy is dead? That's just stupid..

@@Murdstone12 People really need to stop treating Conroy like a God. I've played the games in localized version, so I didn't have Conroy as the Arkham Batman VA. And it didn't make the games suck, """surprisingly""". An Arkham game with Conroy can definitely work. The real problem is, another game in that universe would feel redundant. Arkham games are great, but come on, we've seen it all. Now, Justice League games in the Arkhamverse? THAT would have been neat. I would have loved to play this version of the Flash, or Green Lantern.

That would probably be a completely different type of game, the whole point of using the Fear Toxin was that Bruce's time of taking the fight directly to the criminals was over. So he used the Fear Toxin to restore that intimidation factor he lost when he was unmasked. I'm not even sure you could make a game out of that premise, unless the entire game is controlling drones that deploy Fear Toxin over muggers until they piss their pants.

So I had an idea that DC could use for a Superman-esc game. You create a regular Joe character but they have Superman’s abilities. It’s story driven but choice is the real key. You can save people, but collateral makes them dislike or outright hate you. You fight monsters and other threats. But essentially it boils down to three options. Homelander option: Partner with the Lex Luthor characte or the government, and be perceived as good but in reality you wear a mask cause you are so disgusted with yourself. The Omni man option: Screw everyone going to Fight anyone who gets in my way or just plain looks entertaining enough to fight. The Superman option: You do your best but know not everyone will approve of you but the day to day interactions with regular people who actually see the good you do make it worth it.

It's on purpose. New Deadshot calls og deadshot a fraud. It was implied on an official tweet as well. I _think_ the idea is og Deadshot comes from another universe, but the game never bothers to explain it (or at least I didn't see it). The truth, of course, is they absolutely wanted a Bl*ck character and decided to lazily race-swap one instead of just thinking five more seconds to choose another character.
