What would it take for society to get to the point where a disco lover like myself can hear this great track or similar, go out and buy it easily from a store, and know I'm supporting the artists or the artist's estate with royalty as well as the store? I guess after all these years issues about lost masters and who owns the rights would sometimes arise, but it seems no one talks about it. I've tried but I think I've never met another disco lover, just disco bashers or those who get all quiet when I mention disco details, meaning they don't care. Anyway I'd love to buy this and dance to it in my living room and I'm looking in used collector shops for it. I did find and buy Harlow's "OnThe Road To Mandalay."
This song is a masterpiece. It explains why music connects people together. It has some flamenco vibes, some jazz vibes, obviusly disco, some ballad parts, samba and etc... My biggest wish was to be born in the 50/60's and dance those songs when they're hits. Im only 24 but disco, eurodisco and HighNRG gives me chills and goosebumps.
I danced to this in Heaven in London in the 80’s. Sylvester sang there one night, and it would be hard to describe that night. I have the Harlow album, but it’s nice to hear it hear with the castanets and the laser shots.😊
OH MY GOODNESS - This takes me back - now THIS is music! I heard this in a gay bar in Berlin Germany last July and it drove me into ecstatic - no drugs needed
Club favorite. So many disco hooks and layers. Both orchestral, moog, and femme chorus, Harlow 1979. Simply fantastic Canadian disco effort. Good mix, danceable. Hey, what's the problem? None. We loved Harlow. Thanks much, 3 Harlow's & crew. Well produced and very memorable. Vive les disco freaks...
You are VERY lucky to have this. It has become one of my true disco favorites! Used to hear a lot of "unusual" things on the radio in the Buffalo, NY area. I am LOVING this on my 9.1 surround! Time to admit to myself: I am a disco junkie... thanks for my fix! Ahhhh.... disco bliss.
This one has a very special meaning to me as Joanna Perica (The tall beautiful one) contacted my account saying that she was grateful of the good old times and thanked me for this upload, few years back before my site was shut down...( FYI...She's also involved in music and producing on NY )...and told me how she and the girls enjoyed those times...LONG LIVE CANADIAN DISCO!...hehehe
Love this track! This was played heavily at the Crisco Disco in NYC back in the day. Harlow also had another hit around that ttime- 123 Let's Go. Lost my copy many hears ago and cannot find even a reference to it on line. Hope I find it someday. Great memories of a simpler time and place.
Holy smokes! I remember this SOOOOOOooooo well! OMG, I loved this back in the day. Thanks for posting this great tunage! Jeeeez, if I close my eyes, it's '79 / '80 again. I never would have remembered this if you hadn't posted it. Endless thanks. ;) If this is "Canadian," would it have had commercial play on US stations? Don't remember if I would have heard this up in Canada or in NY. Smacks of Nightlife Unlimited and Tangerue. Freekin' great!!!
It is Canadian release but for some reason wasn't pushed on the States...I've had a sample given on 1979 and I've couldn't beleive my ears!...I think I've played 20 times in a row just to digest it...it became one of my favorite Disco songs...until now.
This song is new to me. I would have been in my junior or senior year in high school, or in between during school vacation during the summer. Just heard it for the 1st time 2 days ago. Kinda got that ("Push, Push) In the Bush" by "Musique" beat! Love it! Dear Mr. or Ms. D.J: please remix this track with that one if you don't mind. It works out pretty good in my head. Thanks again.
Excellent song. If you could please upload the other hit of them: Movie Queen. I was look up for a better quality riped vynils you got the thing. Thanks anyway .
discomorxis Thanks for the response. I think I understand what you are saying. I am also looking for one other song that I cannot find on mp3. It is called Remone by a group named Kocky. Do you have that one as well for mp3 or know where I can get it?
