I watched your review of the Harmon Kardon go+play and started checking online on how to get it to Kenya. Luckily I got it from one of the international supermarket carrefour. It is ridiculously loud for its size. I love it. I haven't taken it all the way to full volume for fear of getting a noise complaint from my neighbors. I would have bought the JBL Extreme but after watching the comparison video, I was sold on the go + play. Thank you for the videos👍
benson gathungu I have had the slightly larger original play + go for 10 years and I also have a Bose . The HK is the best available only now after 10 years has a speaker blown. I can get it repaired for £60 in the UK
Some speakers rely on the compression of the air within an unvented enclosure to reduce the speaker excursion to tolerable distances. A passive radiator is a half-way house design, but I'm just making people aware that some drive units can be damaged by high input when out of their enclosure.
Hallo Toni, denkst Du, es macht Sinn, zur Optimierung des Klangs, bzw. um den Bass noch etwas trockener zu machen, wenn man etwas Akustikwolle in das Gehäuse stopft? Normale Hifi-Lautsprecher sind ja von innen auch mit Dämmwolle gefüllt.
Dear manufactureres: do you think your crap is so sacred that no one dare try tp open it and try to effect repairs? Why make it so difficult to open? Remove screws, pull apart. Thats all it should be. This piece of crap has bad bass vibration and is not worth fixing if we cannot easily get it apart! Get a grip on reality. We are more likey to tell the customer to throw this piece of over-engineer crap in the dumpster and buy another brand instead if its like a friggin' rubics cube from hell to inspect the interior!
Hey Speaker Toni. Just bought the Go-play and im in love with sound. Quick question: Is there anyway you can connect a powerbank (or some sort off) to the Go Play to charge it for longer battery life? (In terms of outdoor using for longer occasions)
gutes Video mein freund. Ich hab ne frage klingt der Harman Kardon Go+Play besser als der Teufel boomster, ich habe mir schon direkte vergleiche angeschaut aber ich kann mir einfach nicht vorstellen das der für 200€ besser klingt als der Boomster für 324€
Der Preis sagt ja nichts über den Klang aus. Der B&O Beolit oder die JBL Boombox um jeweils 500 Euro können mit dem Sound vom Go+Play beispielsweise nicht mithalten. Den Boomster habe ich noch nicht live gehört, aber wie gesagt, muss nicht wegen dem höheren Preis unbedingt besser klingen.
@Darkks GT pretty well, I know the battery that I'll need and I just need to evaluate the capacity of the current battery in order to have two battery with about the capacity (for when they'll be charging)
I think, maybe if you make an exterior one because if you put it inner it could deform, change the sound due to the air capacity in the speaker. If you do a 19V battery maybe you will be able to charge it throught the original charge port or if you have the Voltage and the current out the battery you should be able to charge it directly from here with an extension under the speaker.
Is it splash/waterproof or something? I saw a in your video a rubber plug which safe the ports against water. So, is it possible that Go+Play has a waterproof?

Speaker Toni I attempted to take the bottom of mine off to see what the battery was like but reassembling it I am having trouble getting the last crew in one of those really deep holes to go in. Did you have this same issue?
I was taking that thing apart 5 times now Cause it’s kinda broke without the battery it works but without the Cable it doesn’t work already exchanged the Battery still doesn’t load the battery and does after some secs :/

Wait 2 to 3 years and trust me the woofer will cracked,it uses the same material as previous go play but with larger magnets,the woofer is just low quality material,ill wait if they will release a aluminum cone or kevlar for their new speakers.
Shshssh Dhshsshsh I have seen more than enough open speakers, from small Bluetooth speakers to big high end ones and I can tell you that this is a totally normal look for a Bluetooth speaker. Ever seen a Soundlink Mini from the inside or basically any other small speaker? They mostly use similar parts which might not be the best sometimes but are completely normal for speakers in this class. Also, what tells you that all of these parts used are crap and the ones in Bose speakers aren’t? And as long as the speaker sounds good there really isn’t a reason to complain, right?
No no im not talking about the inside, i dont really care about that. Im talking about sound quality. The bose or klipsch has a lot lott more details. Mids and highs are way better than harman kardon. i tried jbl too since harman owns jbl i also dont like jbl now. They sound very similair. Jbl was a very good brand in the past, now they suck because harman makes them.

Speaker Toni Dennoch was deine Englisch fehler betrifft, 95% derer sind eigentlich nur genau einer, der immer wieder kommt :S Der auf den ich schon so oft hingewiesen hab :P the Bekommst du das endlich hin, erlebt deine Englischaussprache allein dadurch eine maßgebliche Cringe-faktor reduction :D
Speaker Toni Das ist auch so, das was dort ein einser Schüler ist ist hier desshalb noch garnichts, könnte sogar bei einem Schulenwechsel total versagen desshalb, und genau so ist es schon oft passiert... Ja es ist wirklich so krass!
Can we get a full in-depth view on how to disassemble it? I have one but issue the speaker foam broke so I was gonna replace it but you edited out on how you opened it.

Ridge Williams I contacted Harman Support with a e-mail and they sent me a adress where my device could be repared/checked (Netherlands). Now I'm waiting for my speaker to come back
Mein Akku hat jetzt nach einem Jahr versagt, nachdem ich ihn 2-3 Stunden geladen habe bleibt er nur noch 3-4 Minuten in Betrieb und schaltet sich dann komplett ab. Erst mit dem Stromkabel bringe ich ihn wieder zum Laufen und läuft dann einwandfrei. Bin jetzt 2 Monate über Garantieablauf und weiß nicht was ich mit dem Teil machen soll.

Has anyone fixed their speaker when it breaks? Mine stopped working a couple of days ago. Doesn't charge, make any blinking lights, or turn on when unplugged or plugged in. The only part that works is the USB port, it can charge a phone. Curious if yours was like this too? Did you find out a fix? Is it just to replace the battery in the end?
This speaker is a beast. Could you do a disassembly of the VAVA VOOM 21 speaker? I know it's not the newest but it's quite nice and won a Red Dot design award in 2017.
Hi, habe ebenfalls das Problem mit dem Akku. Er lädt nicht mehr richtig auf und nach einer Zeit geht er einfach aus. Würde den gerne tauschen. Kann jemand vielleicht einen Link zu einem passenden Akku einstellen?

Mr.Magnificent mit wasted space meinte ich, dass man diesen Resonanzraum für etwas anderes wie einen größeren Akku oder mehr Tweeter für 360 Grad Klang hätte nutzen können. Außerdem brauchen solche Lautsprecher heutzutage kaum mehr Resonanzraum, schau dir an was Devialet beim Phantom geschafft hat.
Speaker Toni schon klar :P Brauchen is so ne sache, sagen wir mal so, mehr Resonanz Raum wird immer auch merkbar besser sein als weniger :) Der grund warum Devialets lösung funktioniert, ist dass sie statt einen großen raums, einen kleinen als eine art Schacht system benutzen durch das der sound durch muss... Eine Aufgabe des Resonanzkörpers ist es ja zu verhindern dass sich tiefe Frequenzen auslöschen ;)
Mr.Magnificent naja, ein riesen Lautsprecher mit schlecht abgestimmter Elektronik wird immernoch schlechter klingen als ein kleiner mit perfekt abgestimmter Elektronik, aber ich verstehe schon was du meinst. Ein Schacht wäre mir beim Phantom nicht bekannt, was meinst du da genau?
