Harman/Kardon HK990 Vintage Amplifier 

MICHEL KHACHADOURIAN that’s funny, i also had two. Sold one to a friend, what i regret now, because Harman will never make this again. Too many quality parts in that amp.

I looked for this one not easy to find ... At the end I had hk 980.... for home more than enogh =)

does it really have ethernet for streaming ? i thought its just for support port or networking to other HK products?? pls let me know if you connected to internet can you steam? have you tested this function?

@@akjannuHRS (High Resolution Synchronization ) was specifically designed to link to the CD player the HD990 which is HRS enabled device. But that would be very interesting to try it with a streamer or a PC. Unfortunately I couldn't find any streamer with audio Lan out, and also my laptop doesn't have Lan port, plus Roon doesn't support audio over ethernet . I tried to make a research for streaming audio over Lan but I couldn't find much honestly. Though I'm sure there should be a way to do so, it might require a special software to be downloaded and stream directly from a PC. That would be really interesting to try. I'm currently using HK adapt plus as a streamer (toslink optical) to the hk990. In the future I will consider buying a streamer / Dac with balanced xlr output.

Any IC or logic board that will need replacing in the future, is no longer manufactured. Discrete components are still available . It is a great amplifier!

@@MicroAngelo1 Ok, thanks, now its clear. I am waiting for mine piece so I'll evaluate it. Anyway it is very strange Samsung destroy s6ch well brand the only comparable to McIntosh ev- why not HK)en and they move HK to brand simply Bluetooth speakers and poor soundbars ets. They restore JBL hifi devices (again - why not HK) so maybe good karma back t8 the HK also?

HK990 is beastmode. All kinds of tech in it.

Carlos Catalan i had a blown fuse inside the power supply transformer. It was not very hard to fix.

@@mygiguser You were lucky, if it had been the transformer, you had to send it to manufacture it and it would not be the same as the original.... Regards.
