From 1976 on to 1982 there was a radioshow in Belgium playing this music every wednesday night. It featured not only Harmonia, but also Neu!, Klaus Schulze and all those other early pioniers. The program was called Music from the Cosmos.
The lineage between bands like Radiohead and Mogwai and bands like Harmonia and Neu! fascinates me to no end. An awesome track like this is just one example for me.
Oooft, that's a bold statement..Defo up there, one of my faves fosho. If you like boom bap hip-hop & Can, then check out Inner Space by Tom Caruana Remixes. Also, I'm somewhat woke and call it Kosmische Musik these days.
This "remaster" has to be the worst sounding album I've ever heard. It has more compression than a mid 2000's pop-metal album, which makes the tremelo'd drum machine sound especially bad, and there are audible digital pops and clicks on every song. These problems persist on both the vinyl and CD copies. It also sounds like someone dumped a worn-out vinyl copy and ran it through noise reduction, which is insane considering that the previous digital versions sounded fine as-is. I haven't listened to my other Groenland-reissued Harmonia CD's yet, but I hope they're better than this.
If you mean that literally , then you have not listened to it really. If you mean it more like a broad statement along the lane "Its very repetitive", then: EXACTLY. That's what this is all about!
