Hello Professor, concerning harmonics elimination on pulse modulated inverters, is the correct way of "chopping" the output, to set the half-bridge duty cycle at 50% (meaning 0VAC)?
Thank you for this valuable lecture, 9:25 is it possible to have the harmonic rejection using specific alpha at different required levels of the sine wave. In other words what if alpha result from triangulation is different from alpha required for harmonic rejection ?
An inverter is a typical D-class amplifier. So, you can take a 50Hz from a cheap MCU with a DAC (like $1/piece), then use either a UcD or a triangular wave comparator architecture, and get an ideal sinusoidal output. Of course it will require faster switches, but if you really want to eliminate higher harmonics with the simple way, you’ll find out quickly that you need a fast switches any way. So..
