This is the way I was taught but I don’t see it in the championships but rarely. The judges are complicit in the degradation of the sport when they don’t severely fault the heaviness and sham rassembler. Too much ego and money in the sport now. I am glad I was in at the beginning of dressage in the USA. Much respect to Dominique Barbier, Jean Luc Cornille, and Jean Frossard for bringing correct Classical Dressage to the United States. I also shout out Bereiter Erich Zerban for teaching this system to me over 4 years, bringing my mare from green to Prix St Georg before he went back to Europe. I audited clinics with Jean Froissard and had the pleasure of riding in Jean Luc Cornille clinics. All were gentle and kind men who truly love and respect the horses for the generous teachers they are.

It would be nice if you could acknowledge Baucher (Second Manner) as part of your training program!

he does acknowledge Baucher, and says he's "wrong"-- have you not watched all the videos?

Dina, suggest you read the writing's of Etienne Beudant and Alexis L'Hotte they explain the relevance of Baucher's approach and the significant contribution he made to training horse's. The most important thing to understand is these Master's all had an immense sensitivity and finesse and so many rider's who fail to obtain results do so because of a lack of these essential qualities.
