Idk why the mandolin is perfect and the space in the recording plays to the song’s strength. I like this actually more than the studio recording

Beautiful arrangement! Love the ebb and flow in dynamics with each movement (mandolin -> piano -> mandolin & piano -> double acoustic guitars coming in with violin picking up, mm!); also that piano bridge breakdown with Chris Thile goin to town with mandolin, radatoullie! 🤙

My boy Ezra and his crew got robbed at the Grammys. Father Of The Bride was THE album of the year. But apparently now it is fashionable to whisper and pretend you are making music. And how Harmony Hall lost as the best rock song still escapes me.
