You need to invest in a sea bag, navy style. You can fit way more stuff in a sea bag than a suitcase! Plus it’s backpack style so it’s easy to carry. Then you’ll have more room under your bed because the sea at folds up into a small 10” square. -navy veteran
It is unbelievable how different things are from company to company. 🤭 You have such a tiny space and only half the closet that we get, but heck, you have a fridge and are allowed to decorate. We would get a verbal warning for those led lights and the sticker for the wall. This was so eye-opening 😱
It's interesting because even with Celebrity and Royal, the newer ships have a wide variety of cabins. Some are larger, some are smaller. It really depends on how you're ranked and where on the ship you're located. A lot of the older ships had the same room for everyone, with different bed configurations. That's been done away with these days.
I worked Princess back 2003 shared cabin. Our cabins were larger, closets larger . desk larger. We had free laundry, dry cleaning for us /entertainers, I had one formal, 4-5 black pants, 5 tops , t shirts /2 pr tennis shoes, 1 dress, keyboard , cords , mic, that's it I packed light, at ports I'd buy 2 liters of soda, rum in jamaca, eat at buffets use at port internet cafe's which were cheaper 2003. Now we have phones. My cabin was so clean, oh we vacumed ourselves alternated took turns getting towels . housekeeping was a charge we did our own cleaning. 6 mos of that I had rough time getting on land lol..
Ooh the grey curtains are way better than the orange ones we had on Spectrum to match the bright orange walls lol. Definitely interesting to see what royal decides is their color scheme of choice for each class of ship haha
So glad to see these as u decorated ur room like a real home! I am seafare too and my style is so brief but I definitely like ur dolls, pink curtains and stuff!
@@ivanfreely6366 I know. They still Work crazy shifts.. I have worked on a few cruise ships myself where we had a massive entertainment department with performance artists and some were offered passenger cabins and some had to stay in crew cabins. Was all dependent on the capacity and Booking of the cruise.
I went to the Harmony of the Seas Jan 2020 and I enjoyed it so much I know it will be hard but when I get older I want to work there, greetings from Mexico :)
Just comparing our cabins on the river cruise ships in Europe, the bathroom is the same (with a bigger sink), the cabin maybe tiny bit smaller as we got just one desk... But very similar in general, although not that nice looking and decorated :)
I like the way everything is organised, thanks to your video I know what to expect for a crew cabin, I heard stories that's very small but for me it have a good size. Looking forward to work on a cruise soon
It seems pretty equal to me. Even if she does have more, I'm sure they agreed on how they will share their space. I'd be fine giving up a bit of my space if my roommate needed more.
Harmony was my first contract 2018, then allure 2019. I just got a new contract but I will take a break and change my position to Land. Soon fly to the cay for work, its much closer home and I need a break from shiplife. Nice vlog!
Hi I have a question, when your contract finishes and you go home do you own your own house because I want my own place and to work on a cruise ship but would it be worth buying a house when I will hardly be there xx
Thank you for posting this-I was very curious about performer's cabins when I was on HotS (passenger, not performing) in late January '20. Were you still on board doing Grease? Really good production, I loved it :-)

Always curious about what other cruise ships’ crew/staff cabins look like, pretty much the same except for the fact y’all have two desks we’ve got one and a huge tele you got, that’s hanging on the wall. But sweet baby Jesus, lawdi lawdi....y’all got a whole lotta stuff 👀. By the way, I work with carnival cruise line. Thanks for the video.
Anyone curious about why she use front camera to film this? Anyway thank you so much to share this I want to try working on cruise ship for long time but not sure if I can stand to sharing so small room with another person.
Cruise ships should plan far better accommodation for all crew members as if not for you all there would not be staff on board and the crap pay..passengers better pay more respect
Hi Alex! incoming rccl vocalist :) I've got a few questions. did you ship the extra things like pillows/blankets/decor/etc. and how were you able to travel back with it? do you have to do your own laundry? saw that you had tide pods. also were towels not provided?
Hi Alex! Assuming there are no further delays in the reopening of cruises, I'll be setting sail on Harmony of the Seas on the first voyage out, after the suspension is lifted - June 14th, 2020! Looking forward to Grease (I was in the cast in high school). What role are you playing?
This is the best cabin crew room I’ve seen!💜 How did you get all of those cushions and extra stuff on the ship and how will you take them all back with you? Did you not have to fly first to get to the ship?

OMG, what a messy room!! So hazardous with all those lights and papers posted on the wall. Lots of burning materials, I wonder how you guys pass crew cabin inspections!
Alex Rose thank you! I have a couple more questions as I’m going to start auditioning this June 2020. I know you probably can’t discuss this but if you can what was the pay like? Were you a dancer and singer or just a dancer? About how many shows per week did you participate in? Did you get homesick? How many times did you audition?
